As far as installing turbo and tuning the car, if you have deep pockets then go for it... From what i have read/research it can be expensive and things could potentially go wrong if not done right. With that said, you have to have the cash for any fix/repairs... Or if you are looking for a fast car without going through much hassle, then maybe look for a 370z or mustang.
Get a supercharger less things can go wrong and trust me when I say 300 to 350 bhp in this go kart is more than sufficient(don't have whp figures as I haven't dyno'd my car yet) but I'm at least pushing near 300whp at peak.

But you are right in that FI whether turbo or SC (to be well done, especially if OP doesn't have extensive knowledge) can get real expensive real fast.

Now this kid is a huge trend following techno listening dork, but the first words that came out of his mouth was "boy does that look stupid. How does it even drive?"

Win!
The younger generation still shows signs of hope and possibility of success once in a while... I guess we aren't completely fucked then

Come on dude, HPDE and shit like that are not needed, sure they are a plus if when he gets down the road (in 2 years+) he decides to track the car. Suggesting that HPDE or race school is a requirement to learning to drive properly is just idiotic, there are great drivers with no education/school/training just as there are shitty drivers with tons of track and HPDE/race school experience. They are not mutually exclusive.

Just like there are plenty of idiots with college degrees and geniuses stuck on the poverty line because of factors they do not control I(physical, psychological limitations, coordination, etc.).

OP - "I currently can't drive, but in about 2 years I can"

At this point I am not sure if we weren't being trolled in the first place. Yet another thread where it was created and the OP logged off right away never to return. Will wait and see if they come back and renew my faith in mew guys.

Step 1. buy car
Step 2 don't drive like a maniac
(be sure to drive carefully and be aware of the road conditions, this guy seems to have wiped out, they say he was NOT speeding, hit a guard rail, slid along it until his car jumped it and plummeted off the overpass onto another highway). I had a joke related to this but felt it was in poor taste seeing as this happened this week and the victim may be know to someone from my region that is on here.

I am just curious what are the first things I should do to the BRZ as I tune it, most likely just into a Daily Driver and maybe tracking it a couple times and doing quarter miles, etc.
I'm gonna be the one to say this because of how adamant it is. Leave the car the way it is to start go to a driving performance school learn how to drive and then come back and tell me the car doesn't feel different. These cars have tons of aftermarket potential but nearly half of us on this forum probably haven't even used it's stock potential to the fullest. I suggest wheels and tires and then exhaust and such afterwards just cause it gives a little bit for of a hell yeah feeling to everything. Enjoy the car when you can in 2 years you might not have to turbo it the thing might come that way!

I wonder what will be different about the twins in 2 years.

And what other options will be out there.
