What will be the top 200+ treadwear tires this year? I'm contemplating running a whole season for the first time, but I'm on RS-R's.

Won't know until the new ones come out and enterprising folks do some testing, but probably can't go wrong with the RS3v2

Picked up some used V2's to start the year, then will likely try the Toyo next depending on how serious I get with the car and what initial testing comes out.

Tentative plan right now is to build up the car at the beginning of March for a trip and initiation at the Dixie Tour. But seeing as I've got other things going on, that might not happen. Still hoping to make it there if anyone has a competitive STX co-drive available.

Not planning on running a full season with the car, but will likely drive it to save on r-comp costs in SSR and to do something a bit simpler for some local events. We'll see how it goes this year.

I may play with some of the new stuff just because I'm unlikely to be super competetive... I'll let some locals drive 'em for more seasoned feedback. We'll see though, we start a couple months later than many regions so I'm still waiting.

We might pick up the R1R for Dixie because the 245 40 17 RS3 is backordered until end of Feb....Kind of stinks. Probably wait to see if Toyo is offering a contingency. I hate to the be the test mule haha.

I want to try the 200 tw r1r, hopefully they make the 245/40/17 @ a 200 tw rating.

They will. I can't say that I mind our autocross season starting later than most. Many of you folks get to be the guinea pigs before our season even starts!

Anybody give me a guesstimate on how many miles they drove on their RS3V2 and what the wear/autox effectiveness looks like?

I don't want to be one of those guys, but we travel 3 hours to events 2-3 times a month, and if these things are going to be at the wear bars before they heat cycle out we will toss them in the trunk and swap at the event.

FYI:
We put 10,000 miles and 250-300 runs on the Z2. They are just now at the wear bars, but have been heat cycled out since 150 runs.
