Bump. Has any removed ac? And if so did any lights come up on gauge cluster.?

I would recommend this only for a total track-car for competition use where fractions of a second are more important than driver comfort.
I did an A/C delete on my old RallyX car. I completely regretted it. Sitting in the car on hot summer days were killer! I gladly would have given up a fraction here and there for the ability to keep from boiling in my car on a 100 degree day. And don't even THINK of removing your HVAC system without some sort of replacement. A friend of mine did that to his stripped-out RallyXer. Now he's constantly battling window fogging if it's even a little bit cool out. Moral of the story: You may be ok with losing some driver comfort, but be sure you're not losing driver function at the same time. |

Chris did in fact use the factory parts as per Diss's post:
SU003-00499 PULLEY ASSY, IDLER SU003-00515 BRACKET, IDLER PULLEY I'm keeping my AC even though it's a race car. Since the AC clutch disengages on full throttle you don't loose any HP. Just a few kg, which I'm happy to trade because I can concentrate better in 25 deg C much better than in 60 deg C. |

I have a question ...Can we just get a shorter belt and by pass the AC pulley ? I done this before in other car, just surprises that even ac delete or non ac model still have a ac pulley .

Initial thought was ...just find a shorter belt , keeping all the AC parts in place , just figure it out that no point to do that , because there is no way to by pass the ac pulley . Even AC detele , the belt still need to go around it .
Now I have this weird idea come up , if I run a electric water pump ... and find 2 belt to do with and without AC setup (Auto Factory Japan has a electric water pump kit) 1.belt that go through CDGE without AC 2.belt go through CDGEHF with AC Does it work ? Any issue ? Rough idle ? |
