Just clean the rotor really well and use a good high heat spray paint to coat the rotor. You don't really have to worry too much about paint on the swept area, as it will be removed by the front of the pad. This will leave a nice clean rotor that shouldn't rust for quite awhile.

FWIW Once you're on track that coating will become worthless anyway. My factory rotors look horrible after two days on track. The heat burns off any sort of coating pretty quickly.

One cannot determine the proper direction of rotation by looking at the slots on the face of the rotor. Direction of rotation is determined by the vanes inside the rotor, and how they would most effectively evacuate the air from the hub area.

On the newer design rotors we are extending the paint zone. This provides a measure of protection for a limited period of time. As you guys know, whether you use e-coating or zinc, it all comes off once your brakes get really hot. If you track your car, it will probably come off in one day. If you use your car only on the street, it will last a while, but eventually will come off, depending on how much water/corrosion/heat your rotors are exposed to. -Rafi |

Alright, my brake squeel is coming from the driver side front and can be felt in the pedal. What should I be looking for to diagnose this?
