Works on either 3T or 6T steel jackstands with a saddle design that fits the rocker contour and pinch welds better than most. I've had no damage and have used them at least ten times with the car supported for days at a time:

I usually have someone slide my basic Jack under while I lift the car a quarter inch from my wheel well. More power to you if you have money at your disposal, but let's not confuse needs and wants. I'm only an inch lower on springs btw.

And word of advice, I always remove my wheels and throw em under the car incase the stands slip. Better to have a scuffed rim than being in a casket.

me place jack right next to jack stands.
wheel works as well but i am kinda lazy to remove wheels every time.
hardly two jack stands fail at same time

Haha, now while a $100+ Jack might not be my cup of tea, a quality impact wrench comes in extremely handy on multiple occasions.

Just curious.

I have ramps I use for oil changes and such. But cannot remove wheels. So thinking to get a Jack and stand.

I'm going to get the HF 68050 and a couple Jack stands with rubber pads mentioned above.

Will any of that fit in the FR-S trunk (with back seat lowered) aside from the rubber pads?

My car is lowered 1.5" on coil-overs so I drive it onto some 12" long 1" by 8" boards. Then my Sears jack can just fit under the front bumper. DP

I have this jack and love it. Fits easily under the front of the car and jacks up high enough to place jack stands under the sides. My car is stock height. http://www.harborfreight.com/15-ton-...ump-60569.html

With the handle removed the 68050 will fit no problem. If its still in the box you might need to fold down the back seat, but otherwise you shouldnt have any issues getting it home.

FYI the 2-ton long reach low profile jack (68050/62310/60678) is on sale again, $119.99 is the best price I've seen since I bought mine at $109 four years ago. Mine is still going strong. Found the coupon in a motorcycle magazine of all places... Coupon is good until Dec 23rd 2016, remember to print and bring it to the HF store!

That's the downside of condo living. I can't leave a 99lb jack out, so the weight is an issue (the 26lb regular HF jack works well in this case).
Otherwise, great deal!

I suggest spending the money on an aluminum jack. I have the 3 ton from HF at 75 pounds and it's a pain to carry back and forth. If you're stock you should be able to fit most large jacks under there without ramps. I'm low so I drive on long, low ramps, then jack. NEVER use a non-oem jack on the side pinch welds. They will collapse. Modify the pinch welds with a jacking plate or jack from the front crossmember/rear differential
