Hell no! This ain't the 80's. Mudguards do more harm than good for the body of the car.

I'll probably get a set of rallyarmor mudflaps when they come out to use in the winter. They will help keep the salt in check. As far as molded mudguards? No way. Useless.

If I were on the east coast (mid-Atlantic region), I'd do RallyArmor guards like I did on my WRX. They really help keep the side of your car clean from all the road spray. The RallyArmor ones stick out pretty far - which makes them very efficient. They're also thick so they won't flop around - they stay ridged. Not sure if they make them for the BRZ yet, but it's just a matter of drilling holes in the guards in the correct location.

I'd go for some as long as they were blended/fit like the factory ones on the MX5 I just sold. They'd be for keeping molten rubber off the paint, not mud.

Oddly enough, mud guards seem to be standard for the Canadian FR-S. Scion regional rep confirmed that they've all got them. First time I've had a car with mud guards for ages.

Unless you keep the area around the mudguards religiously clean, dirt, pebbles and other crap will get stuck in there and cause paint damage, and eventually rust if not kept in check.

I'd like to see a pic of white with mudguards too. From what I can see though it looks like they would be really obvious...even with all the other black accents on the car.
