That's great that you got a deal, but not everyone has that power when there's a lack of Subaru dealerships in some places.

Supply and demand. For some reason they don't seem to move a lot here. Of course we have the Bimmer plant and they say there are more BMW's per capita here than anywhere else in the world.

Same dealer owns both franchises. The BMW dealership is at least 20 times the size of the Suby. I doubt they have 40 cars, all models, on the Subaru lot.

I recently put an order in with Clint for 2014. He is the way to go. Didn't bother talking to Kearny Mesa. Irvine Subaru wouldn't budge from MSRP as well.

I picked up my '14 from Clint last Friday. Save some dough and go on a road trip! You won't regret it.

Any advice for somebody who will be making a similar road trip from CO to SoCal? Any specific routes to take, attractions to see, places to eat?

Nice to see them rolling in. I just ordered mine, 6MT Limited in Los Angeles $30k flat OTD, with applique and homelink. A bit surprised but i'll take it.

I made it a quick trip and didn't stop unless necessary. We ate near gas stations so it was just standard fast food fare. Helps to have someone with you to keep you company. My aunt is in town and actually volunteered to go with, so it was nice to catch up.

We came back via the 70 to 15 (through Vegas). CO is beautiful to drive through (west of Denver on the way to Grand Junction). There's quite a bit of snow up by the Eisenhower tunnel right now and it looks sick! UT is interesting, lot's of colorful rocks. Whereas CO is more lush and green in the higher elevation.

There were very few people on the highway so we were able to make good time. Left LA on a flight at 5:45am on Fri, got back with the car Saturday at 4:15pm. Then introduced the car to the Santa Monica mountains the next morning.
