I seriously doubt the Toyota and Subaru engineers have spent time testing to see what the maximum HP it can safely handle with forced induction is. There is no point in them doing that for a road car and all the race cars seem to be swapping engines with the EJ20. So that's something that tuners will have to find out on their own and at their own risk.

US regulations. You'd think that the US would have looser regulations but in some areas, they are the strictest in the world. This is one of the reasons Suzuki claims they stopped selling cars in the USA. They had to spend a whole bunch of money catering to US regulations which left them uncompetitive and unprofitable.

Off topic for a second here--Because it had nothing to do with their crappy cars, lack of reliability, and just general bad quality.

Tada-san isn't answering ALL the questions. Just hand full only, so it's worth asking. You have more chance of getting answer than not asking to begin with

BUT on my side, I'm not translate/submit any question that is do with next gen Supra/MR-2. Only 86 questions will be translated & submitted.

speaking of translating. I've translated page of questions... but I still have 4 & 1/2 pages of questions needs to be translate. Guess, what I gonna be doing this weekend LOL

Most of us want HID's but only offering them in a Release Series is not really an option for me. Because Release Series means that it'll be a one off color and loaded with other crap like a body kit/spoiler, TRD USA lowering springs and noisy exhaust, etc. - things I do not want. Scion really needs to change their strategy with this car. They need to realize that this isn't their typical Podunk car that they can just throw plastic bits at and slam to the ground and call it cool for the kids. This is a true Toyota sports car that needs to be respected!

Well, that's what they claimed and I've heard the same complaints from other manufacturers. Suzuki is still strong in other markets; it's only NA that they've decided to pull the plug on. But anyway, yes, regulations are the reason why the NA versions have that small/short exhaust.

Yeah, I didn't mean to belittle the question or anything. Maybe he can still give an estimate on what the stock engine components can handle or something? Although, I would think that'd be a risky claim for a company representative to make to customers. And from what he has said before, he doesn't seem to care much about horsepower in this car. But who knows, maybe Tada-san is secretly obsessed with horsepower and testing the FA20 with forced induction after hours at the Subaru lab. And then he sneaks out at night with his 600hp, 2300lb 86 with tinted windows and smokes everyone on the Touge.

Trip-trip-triple post! This is fun!

Of course! When I state that I gonna do it, I'll do it! I may lose few hrs of sleeps or pull my hair few times, but I'll do it for the sake of 86 fans. :happy0180:

Even though it's VERY TEMPTING, but I've promise Tada-san we'll only asking 86 questions. I'm not type of person break any promises... SPECIALLY with someone who's (WAY) higher level than I am in status.

Let's face it, Monday night members asked about next gen Supra/MR-2 and they didn't get anything out of it, do you think he'll tell us? Highly doubt it.

This might be a stupid question, but this is for Tada-san.

Why are there two speedometers? I feel like something better could have gone in the analog's speedometer's place.
