Yes, since they have caught up on the orders there is only the type A now. The type B was only used for the quickness they could build them in for the people with no patience (I bought type B).

just a quick question I am starting to look into headers and am trying to decide between uel and el, I understand the differences in sound and drivability(can't decide between power to torque lol), what I haven't found looking around the internet is if getting a el header will still throw up a CEL, I know it will require a tune either way to get the best from the new header, just wondering if getting an equal length header will allow me piece of mind to save for the tune after install

If you change a cat, you get a CEL. Unless the manufacturer really sucks at OBD.

There's one in the stock headers, not in the ACE headers. This is why a CEL is thrown.

There also are several aftermarket headers made & sold .. but they certainly won't bring nowhere near performance gains of Ace's and they are not 100% safe from throwing cat readiness CELs either.

I don't get why folks are willing to throw down 1500 for a header but don't consider a tune. You wont get nearly as much power simply bolting on exhaust and intake parts, just extra noise and loss in drivability. If you're worried about CEL with headers you've probably not considered tuning the ECU.

interior was coated too? how much of a performance difference is there to have the interior of the header coated as well as exterior?

iirc there's a thread about that. I just asked the shop to ceramic coat it. I was totally expecting hem to just coat only the outside, but they did inside too... but hey, I'm not complaining here

yeah i remember the thread and the variance in temperatures shown in non coated vs exterior coated, but interior coated is another variable. anyhow, congrats! let us know how it goes and post a dyno chart!
