Canadian Pricing Prediction: Scion cheaper by $4000 minimum.
I expect the FR-S will be about $2000 more than the US price in Canada, hopefully a little less.
I respect Scion in Canada, they don't kick us in the balls. Canada: Scion TC $20850 USA: Scion TC $19300 The Subaru BRZ on the other hand... Canada will get raped like always. Even the base impreza is $4000 more here. Canada: 5dr WRX Hatch Base: $33395 USA: 5dr WRX Hatch Base: $25500 Subaru hates Canadians. I wouldn't be surprised if the FR-S is $5000 cheaper than the BRZ in Canada. Scion XB - Canada: $18270 - USA: $17030 Edit: Car companies that don't hate Canada: Ford, Toyota (& Scion), Hyundai (They are the best for price parity when paying with cash), and GM. |

I really hope this is true.
One of the things I really hate about performance model Mazdas in Canada is how expensive they are compared to their US counterparts... |

Another great example of Toyota being fair to Canadians... the Camry. Ford sells the focus base for less money here than in the USA. The Mustang v6 base is the same price, $23000. Hyundais are deceptive because they give out huge cash incentives almost every month on every model if you pay cash. I don't finance so I could buy a Genesis Coupe 2.0T for $25k out the door with a $2500 factory rebate and a carsaver.ca or carcostcanada report.
2012 Camry Base: $23700 - Canada $22000 - USA Not all car companies are unfair to Canadians... Ford is totally fair at lower prices but a Mustang GT commands an $8000 premium in Canada, while the V6 is the same price. It's very odd. |

My local Scion dealer said he expects the FR-S to be $27,000 - $29,000. In which case I'd seriously consider purchasing it in the US and importing via RIV.
