Would you happen to be the greenish wrapped/dipped FRS?

As I was leaving on Friday, a white BRZ with yellow fogs came up to me and asked if we were leaving.
I think it's the same guy I spotted on King Edward this week. If you're on the forums, we'll see you next week hopefully.

Figured I'd post something JDM tonight (I'm supposed to be studying)
My friend got me this as a congratulatory gift when I bought my car back in April. It's a Touge First Year Anniversary Book. It also came with an 86 tote bag & an 86 CD. The JDM bling is off the hook here. DSC_6608 by AznKirby, on Flickr DSC_6627 by AznKirby, on Flickr DSC_6621 by AznKirby, on Flickr DSC_6619 by AznKirby, on Flickr

Just plugged my sound tube. Wonder what the difference will be like. I have a crazy drone at ~2400rpm.

Nope, not me. I have a white FRS. I've been back and forth through the city a few times over the past couple days. The only twin I've seen was a white BRZ yesterday evening at Baton Rouge at the Galleries d'Hull.
They're still rare enough around here that I get some looks. |

I'll be in the city every few weeks. It's too bad we'll be going into the winter soon, but hopefully I can make a meet. I'll be sure to check here first next time. |

Last install of September
Too early to call it a year for mods...
Installed a Perrin rear shifter bushing and Whiteline transmission bushing insert today. The install would have been sooo much faster with a lift. Rolled the front up on ramps and lifted the rear on jack stands. The car sat so low that I couldn't even get under with a creeper (and explains the lack of photos). Had to shimmy under and use little T-Rex arms to remove a few bolts and a bunch of last years long lasting underspray. I can appreciate what you '3-season' drivers get to work on. End result for the Perrin rear shifter bushing is a slightly better feeling to the shifter. I think the review might have been ruined by trying @UMB FR-S's Kartboy short shift on Friday. Ignore the detailed tear down for the Whiteline install - it required removing only one fastener. The Whiteline transmission bushing insert makes a very noticeable difference on hard starts, and quick shifts. Any trace of wheel hop is gone and shifts feel more direct and connected to the wheels. I can chirp easily between shifts even with 245 tires, NA and stock exhaust. There is some welcome low frequency NVH at lower speeds but nothing noticeable once you get going. Some noise/rattle that existed when easing on the clutch while reversing or when switching from 1st to reverse is gone. |

I plugged my sound tube a few months ago.
The cabin sounds much better. It's quieter than before and you hear the actual engine when you are running it up, not the silly noise generator. I've been too lazy to pull the sound generator from the engine bay, but I'll do it one of these days. |

Yup! It definitely sounds less artificial. I plugged it already, and I'm waiting for the first wave of midterms to be done to take off the sound generator as a whole.

Cabin was for sure quieter. But I don't know how I feel about it. Car feels less raw now. Drone went away. But I had the radio off and windows up for the first time ever and I have a creak from the rear of the car and the cluster hood rattles/squeaks... I think I might unplug it lol

Sound tube removal was mod #2 after hood struts and I had driven it zero kms I test drove one in Aug 2012 but didn't know what to listen for. I have had 3 drives in stock FRS - pbrown, dolo and Slick's - I never thought of listening for different sounds. At least they are using a passive system - imagine buying a BMW 5-series and having fake engine sounds piped into the sound system?? I like hearing my snorkel-less Takeda intake and the catback sounds. I rarely drive with the windows up tight too - I've cranked the heat up to keep the windows open |
