Slow down and pull over. If they pull over with you, then keep going until the next exit and park in front of a popular store or other extremely public venue. Speeding up is just going to make them want to chase you.
Looking back at the situation I wish I would have done that.

Ok, well, I lived in Mississippi, and there's some pretty ridiculous people in that state. Again... I think there's more to this story.

Oh definitely. I just figure this is just some extreme rare case of something stupid happening. I've never had something like this happen and it just really caught me off guard. I know it sounds a little fishy but it's all that happened.

The only other time I've been thumbs downed by someone while driving the BRZ was by a guy driving a VW R32. After some spirited driving through some back country roads and being frustrated he wasn't able to shake me, he later rolled down his window at a two lane stop light and told me "I take back my later thumbs down, great driving man!"

I get this crap all the time because I'm Indian. People roll down their windows and flip me off. They call me all brown shit, terrorist, and etc. I atleast get flipped off once every two days. But I just have to deal with it. I found out that if I smile back at them while they are "getting angry" they get really piss and just drive away. I been followed home 9 times before just this year. I had to call my buddy up let them drive were I am and block them off while I drive away. It's pretty bad here in Mississippi. But in the end, I'm just glad I'm alive

Came expecting a story / pictures of a BRZ that made the ultimate sacrifice. Glad to see that the only thing that hit you was a coffee cup!

It sickens me that this kind of stuff happens much too often. I understand in that part of the States but it still doesn't make it okay. Sickens me. I'm glad you've learned to deal with it in a very respectful manner, I'll have to go about it much "cooler" like. Albeit I don't expect much to happen, still can't react to the other drivers for whatever reasons they have to have a beef with me.

It wouldn't necessarily have been the ultimate sacrifice but it definitely would have been a very bad accident. I would have slammed on the brakes to slow down to get out of there but there was another car following only a few car lengths behind and I probably would have been rear ended. Could only accelerate to get out of the way but I should have just pulled off and let them pass like someone previously said.

thats not cool man ur driving in ur bby and with ur girl and some ****s decide to ruin ur day not cool, if u think it might happen again u might want to consider buying some kind of protection and put it in ur trunk and im not talking about condoms, when they fuck with me its one thing but if they threaten the life of my gf or my passenger then they got another thing coming.

I'm glad you are safe, cars can be fixed. Just put some retractable wheel spikes and that will solve the problem

That's messed up, man. I didn't even know antisemitism was a big thing in this country... Might be time to tint your windows and get a non-vanity plate if you're worried about being singled out again.
