Experience with TRD springs? - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

I saw that toyota offers trd springs that cut about an inch off ride height. I was curious about other users experience with these springs? I daily drive the car so anyone with a similar user profile would be helpful.

I’d be interested to know if the TRD spring rates match up well to the dampening of the BRZ PP shocks?

I have the TRD springs on my 2017. DD and couple of trackdays. It is stiffer compared to the kouki oem ride, so it will be a bit bouncy but not too much. Almost like the zenki ride, which is more stiffer than the kouki oem ride. It's ok for DD, but just a bit soft for the track even with trd sway bars.

Love my TRD springs. Perfect for DD and much better than stick for those few yearly track days. Handling is very noticeable and ride is better than stock springs IMHO.

US TRD springs are Eibach Pro kit.

Can you elaborate on ride is better than stock? The springs are significantly stiffer, so it can't be actually 'comfier' which usually means softer. Rears are 37% stiffer, fronts are 56% stiffer.

Thought this was the case but the specified drops from Eibach didn’t exactly match what the TRD specs say.

Check that there are 2 different part numbers for Eibachs, one for EU and one for US...

I thought the ~1" drop fit eibach pro kits was a generic number for most cars? Like if you have a mustang vs a BMW vs a Subaru it can vary +/- 1/4" depending on what kind of spring rate setup eibach decided to go with for your car model.

Looks like the drop and spring rates of the Eibach Pro-Kit would work just fine with the Sachs shocks for street use. Although Boudin* just warned me about the lack of travel with the factory shocks. Hmm ��

The ride was more comfortable even though the springs are stiffer, hard to explain but that's what I noticed.
