The stage 2 doesn't disable the cel...

Not everyone gets the p0420 cel and the OFT stage 2 I don't think disables it. Atleast it wasn't disabled on the v2.0?? version that I installed.

I've been running it without the cel disabled for probably a month and haven't gotten the P0420 once.

I have alot of experience with romraider and when I've modified stage 2 OFH as well as Stage 2 93 and 91 octane tunes for my cal ID and P0420 has always been disabled. I'd like to see the tune files you are referring too for reference I'm very curious, it has little to do with the transmission.

I double checked it and I think I had disabled it right after going to stage 2.

So Stage 2 OFT tunes disable the P0420 CEL. Does this cause an issue with the OBD reading full emissions readiness?

I'll have to find the screenshot of my cars Torque OBD2 scan and another OBD2 scanner both showed my car as full readiness. I believe one of the tests requires at least a full tank of fuel (possibly the evap one?) @steve99 can elaborate. I will endeavor to find the screenshots, and I'm not sure if E85 had anything to do with it or not.

you wont get a pass on readiness checks if you have disabled the P0420 code. disabling code stops CEL on dash.

Readyness checks for catylist require ecu to compare reading from front and rear 02 sensors and confirm the readings are within tolerance. My understanding is that disabling the associated codes stop readiness from showing pass.

you can try just re-enabling code (P0420) some headers wont throw cel for a while and may allow readiness to pass, you can also try putting spacer in REAR 02 sensor as well as re-enabling P0420 and see if that helps

I guess it varies because on torque at one point it showed full emissions readiness.

It possible it will get the correct results from readiness if the rear 02 sensor is still in place, if you have a flex kit and its removed/repurposed then their is no chance

Both of my o2 sensors are in position, as well as me not having flex fuel and just running an e85 tune from shiv

Do you have any O2 spacers?

And forgive my ignorance but there is one O2 sensor before the cat in the header and one after it, and that's it, right?

So much confiicting information, I don't know what to believe. I guess I'll just have to go full catless, flash the OFT OTS Stage 2 tune, and see if it shows emissions readiness.

Its probably possible to pass readiness, just depends on reading from rear 02 sensor, some headers the location of rear 02 is enough to fool ecu

If you look at my signature it's the CNT UEL it's catless, might have something to do with the location of the second sensor as steve99 said.

some catless header almost have a built in spacer on rear 02, like ones below. this is often enough to fool ecu like installing a spacer and you can sometimes re-enable P0420 and not throw cel and pass readness as the ecu sees values for its cat calculation within tolerance

Has anyone added an RC circuit to the downstream o2 sensor to fool the ecu into thinking the system is ok? A one meg ohm resister in series and a 1 micro farad cap across the sensor leads.

I live in NYS and they check for smog readiness. I was planning on adding a cat less UEL header to use with the stock front pipe (with cat) and OFT. I sure as hell do not want to have to change the system back to stock for inspection every year.
