The cheap paint on these cars.

Had a rock ding on the hood, used some touch up paint from the dealer, usually I fill in the chip and a bit more then buff it down to level it off with the surface as I've done on my past cars which worked well.

Except the tiny bit of touch up paint that was on top of the clear coat etched the clear coat.

Yes but most of the gripes are minor and are repeated a lot. Plus the awsomeness of this far out weighs the few minor things people find wrong

Hearing peoples' complaints about a car also are an indication of how good it is, and 99% of the bads comments are minor issues which means it's a great car. Go to a mercedes forum and people complain about transmissions failing, horribly expensive repairs on things that shouldn't fail, etc....

+1. I agonize over every little scuff in the plastic. But it's not a unique problem to these cars. My last Honda did it too.

Coming from an Altima the plastic scuffs easily for some reason
I was going to say the sill height. I love sitting low in the car but the height of the sills could have been lower (though would likely affect chassis stiffness) which would help with this problem.
