Here are my Konig Hypergrams 16.8lbs. Also Hankook Evo2 tires stock size weight 19.3 lbs! People forget tire weight is more important being farthest on the outside. Went with this setup for lightweight performance over stanced oversized look. I went big with my Vette as its easier to make power on the ls motors. I'd only do big wheels and BBK on this car if I went forced induction.
Also did lightweight pulleys at the same time and waited to drive until they were on the same time. Man it pulls so much quicker and the revs climb faster! Enjoy!

very nice, I really like this build. Both the alcantara and trim wrapping are a really nice touch. Makes me consider doing it to my car.

OK I will chalk this up as a lesson learned you get what you pay for. The GodSnow crank pulley has not worked out for me. I was starting to wobble at idle. Ive read just about every thread on what could be wrong . I ordered new crank bolt and oil seal to make sure. Torqued it just like instructions 14.5 ftlbs then another 90 degrees. Still same results.
During my initial install I know the crank end part slid out maybe a 1/4" and I slid it right back in. But became paranoid after reading it cant move at all. Marked its location and bravely removed it to check for burrs. Everything looked great and I slid right back in. Measured the thickness of both the godsnow and stock pulley. It appears the godsnow is about 2mm thinner on the mounting area which probably caused some space between the pulley and bolt. Anyways put back on the stock pulley and everything is normal again. Going to fork up the bucks and get something proven like a Perrin. The other 2 pulleys (alt, water) Godsnow are fine and going to keep them.

Here is my '17 specific perrin tube installed. Its close to the belt even with me pulling away while tightening down. over 200+ miles with no issues. Does a much better job sealing with the front bumper area.
Old generic intake New Perrin

Gent5 UEL
Just wanted to add the pics from my Gent5 UEL header install here:
Here is a review of the Gent5 UEL header + Overpipe found on FRSport. http://www.frsport.com/Gent5-G1112-G...p_1478692.html Waiting for the UPS man today got a head start taking off the stock headers and taking some measurements and weigths First wanted to measure the inside diameter of the overpipe and secondary. Looks to be 50mm inside or slightly less that 2" WEAK! Weights headers 20.8 lbs overpipe 4.6lbs Then ordered my own heatshield stuff to cover oil pan near the header. Got some OCD and covered some areas of the engine too! |

Really Nice looking welds
Best pic I could get of the Merge collector looks real clean and smooth Then took some weights Headers 15lbs Over pipe 3.5 lbs and the overpipe looks nice as well Inside Diameter of the overpipe and end of the header flange 58mm or about 2.25" Only minor thing was one small section of the flanged wasn't machined the same but the area was still smooth and flat with the rest of the flange otherwise these are 99% perfect More OCD kicked in And I always cover any flange, seal or gasket with a layer of Acousti Seal which is a tar like stuff. Wanted to extra seal the connecting pipes These were sealed very nice from the factory was able to get them apart about a 1/2" which was good enough to get some tar on All back together and cleaned up. A lot of tar got pushed out telling me the stock seal is very precise. Stay Tuned Sunday for my install!

Installed this morning man this was the easiest header install Ive ever done. Didn't even need swivel attachments like others have said.
Here are the Siruda gaskets which can be purchased with the headers The went to coating every flange with Acousti-Seal. Man I really love this stuff for making a sound/airproof seal, just wear some gloves because it can get messy. Installed the overpipe first. Couldn't imagine installing an overpipe with the headers still on the car Bad pic but loosened the bottom bolt of the stock cat pipe to have some play with the overpipe to rear cat connection. All buttoned up everything fit perfect Plenty of space between the overpipe and suspension. I had added a layer of the insulation on the suspension incase it was close. Not the case had a good finger gap. Final Top down view Sound - don't have a good setup to record yet but there are plenty of clips of UEL headers with stock midpipe and catback on youtube. First cold startup I thought man that's loud but not the case at all. Even without a cat this sounds quiet with the rest of the stock exhaust with a slight change to the rumble. I could defineantly upgrade to a highflow cat and a more flowing catback but I would still go with something on the quieter scale Power- NO tune yet but that delay in the middle rpms seems gone. Accelerated more linear. Cant wait to feel what a tune will do. Plus eliminating that cold start non-sense will be on my list. Also the Blox CEL eliminator seems to be working so far with 100 miles driven we'll see. Time to drive again! |

HKS Dual Resonated frontpipe with HKS Legamax premium
I will be installing this weekend but here are some preliminary pics. BIG box Packaging was great as to not get hurt in transport. Hard to see from the pic but the outsite diameter is 60mm claimed. Measured inside diameter is 56mm consistent all the front pipe and rear exhaust. Was hoping it would be exact match to the end of my overpipe which is 58mm inside diameter. Again at least its consistent all the way through to keep velocity high. Here are the weights (my cat likes to be in every damn picture) : Dual resonated Front Pipe - 8.25lbs Midpipe - 13.25 lbs axleback - 24.75 So the front should be about 2lbs lighter than stock and the total catback about the same as stock Nicely polished really like the big tips on this CON: I'm going to say this but the welds do not look clean especially compared to my no name(gruppe-s/ gent5) Uel headers. They are thick and lumpy but hopefully should hold up well. You can see where they burn through to the inner pipe on a few and will need to be grinded smooth Explains why the price is nearly cut in half, A nice system if you don't look at the welds. But overall I'm very excited to hear this car roar with this setup. Stay tuned |

Started off this morning removing and weighting the stock parts
Front pipe: 12.1lbs Midpipe: 12.5lbs Axleback : 26.75lbs So Final weight Tally HKS vs Stock Frontpipe: 8.25 vs 12.1 Midpipe: 13.25 vs 12.75 axleback: 24.75 vs 26.75 Total loss with HKS setup: 46.25 vs 51.6 = -5.35lbs Spent some time with a harborfrieght die grinder to grind down the inside of the welds smooth Easy Job used my tar stuff again on the gaskets and bolted everything on. Just match the direction of the flanges exact and everything fit perfect first time! Fitment gets A+ Cat Strikes again photobombing me Nice tips fill the hole Sound: again I wish I could set something up for clips that will come later Its very Jeckly/Hyde in a good way. Obviously cold start is loud. While cruising the exhaust is very quiet close to stock. Put you foot into and WHAM the sound volume jump up quickly. Not too low bassy, no drone, more on the higher pitched scale but without the rasp. So flooring its pretty loud enough for me but no annoying sounds just a straight wail. |

Your level of detail is amazing. OCD or not, I'm sure it pays off.

In the past ive half-assed projects to rush because I needed my car. Having a three car rotation allows me to take my time. Plus hopefully the detail will help someone out. I would recommend to anyone to at least get a beater car in your stable. I pay $40 a month insurance for my old Cherokee. Now I can take my time on projects and do them right.
