This,

that and this car needs all the help it can get, seems counter productive imo to do anything that robs power.

i.e. chunky wheels, etc.

If anyone is looking for an EL Header with high flow cat, I'm selling my P&L one here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1116300

So 5 years later... Is there an EL header that sorta functions more like an UEL header for the torque dip? It doesn't have to be equally as good as UEL, just better than other EL headers even if it means not gaining as much top end.

I can't pull up images easily since I'm at work, but look at HKS and ACE iirc

It's been out for a while now, but not only does it eradicate the torque dip, it makes it a torque peak, and also has the highest output of any header on the market for this car.

Package includes header, overpipe, all the hardware you need, and tune.

How about better than a UEL in almost every way, especially in the "dip" area?

JDLs prototype EL header has more area under the curve than their own UEL. They have a dyno of it on their IG.

Kind of necroing this but, I am still looking for a catted EL header that really does correct the torque dip. Budget is 1k$.
I was looking at the FT86 Speed Factory which appears to be barely UEL and sounds kind of EL on top. JDL and P&L as well but could not find some relevant and independant testing. It will be tuned with OFT.
I'm using the car as a daily driver and will track it from time to time on tracks with long phase of acceleration (Spa to be precise)

Get ACE CS400 or A350 and front pipe with a high flow cat in it (100 cel). Problem solved!

Catted is not your answer for what you are looking for. Must be catless
