So I downloaded the PDF of the SCCA's Helmet rules and they list the Snell M2010 sticker as okay. So, I think I'll be okay to use my helmet.

Its Snell M2010. I guess I'll just have to check with the event organizers to see if that's okay.
I'm sorry That was confusing. Snell M2010 are allowed, see below. It's DOT that are not allowed.

Thanks for all the answers so far, I really appreciate it. I'm planning on bringing a folding chair and a small cooler with some water/snacks, and a small assortment of tools. Anything else I should plan on bringing with me?

Sunblock. Tire gauge. Not sure how your club deals with numbers, but a role of painter's tape isn't the worst thing to have. Zip ties aren't the worst thing to have. Rain gear, if applicable.

That's really all I bring outside of what you've mentioned.

I also usually bring an old towel. Never know when you will need to wipe something off.

You only really need a few basic things your first time out.
- Food
- Layered clothing
- sunscreen
- comfortable shoes (you'll be doing some walking)

Expect
- to have fun
- to do a fair amount of walking/standing
- a lot of enthusiastic people
- to make friends

Really, if all you do is show up, you'll be fine. Everyone is so helpful, all you need to do is ask and you'll get more help than you expected.

Hand sanitizer is a good thing to have... Not all sites have sinks. To that end, bring plenty of water.

Same. I keep one in my cars for street driving, so didn't think of it as an addition.

Sorry if this is answered anywhere else in the thread, but would wheel spacers affect what class my car is in? I'm planning on running 20mm spacers in front, 25mm rear.

Depends on what class you are running in.

Street only allows for +/-7mm from stock.
All other classes don't care.

So if your car is stock otherwise you'd be bumped to STX by the spacers.

Hmm. I guess I'll have to decide if that matters to me when I go. I can always just take the spacers off beforehand if I don't want to get bumped into STX. I doubt my times would be anywhere near competitive in either class, so I guess it doesn't really matter lol.

I was planning on going to my first event over last weekend, but because it was raining, I decided not to go. I know the events happen rain or shine, but I didn't want my first experience with it to be in the pouring rain.

Wet autox is brilliant fun as a driver

But then you have to work course in the rain but that's a minor downside for the rain we get around here.

And it can screw with competitiveness but that's secondary anyway.

+2 for those thoughts.

Rain- or even just wet- reveals driver's problem areas pretty quickly. On the bright side, it also rewards smooth, skilled technique more dramatically than dry.

Sucks to be soaked though.
