I was gonna do that but sure enough the whole assembly fell apart while i was getting lunch and the screws stripped. At the dealer now getting a new mirror lol

Just started to notice this rattle today after a long drive. I can only hear it when the roads are bumpy. Going to check to see if it's the rearview mirror.

probably is. i didn't even think to check it till everyone else said to look at the screws on the base. I took the one screw out that holds the mirror down and sure enough, 2 of the screws holding the adapter in were completely stripped and slid right out. Got mine fixed and the rattles gone for now

Mine was the fuse box under the dash on the left. If you hear it rattling, reach down and push/pull the box to the left or right and see if it stops.

To fix it I just shoved some foam between the fusebox and wiring harness it was vibrating up against.

I've fixed a few rattles so far, but have a new loud one from somewhere behind and to the left of the glovebox. It's not the glovebox itself because I removed it completely and it was still doing it. Any ideas before I tear it apart?

I figured it out, it was the AC blower motor housing. I removed the blower motor and on the bottom there's a little plastic door that was making the noise. I lined it with felt tape and it went away.

rattle behind the dash

I have a rattle from my glove box and when I open it, the rattle stop, then am sure the glove box is the cause.

I have also found this : http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/15...confirmed.html

Rattling sound

I am facing the same irritating rattling sound inside the cabin and clueless. Tried securing the wiring at the engine bay , tightened the strut bar but the sound still refuse to go away every time the car drives off and hit bumpy road or upslope But the wierd thing is the sound will go away after 20-30min on the road when the engine is hot.
It seem to be coming from the left side of the car. Will try to hold on the rear view mirror and see if it goes off
