I believe I recall reading a quote from Tada-san somewhere that any TRD performance accessories would not only appear on the TRD cars but be sold separately for installation on existing cars.

There's a pretty reputable looking place doing conversions right now in Newport Beach, CA but they're charging $20,000 for the job!

Wow. I love the 86, but there are a lot better convertibles/coupes I can think of for $50,000+!

the only reason they will comeout with a convertible or a sedan or F/I is because they were pressured by the public and the bean counters. the beanies will want to maximize the money spent by releasing other variants of the car to reach a broader range of buyers.

this car was not designed and built from the get go to be a vert. all the things that people love about the car will be reduced because the structural stiffness will not be the same.
