Really makes me miss my COBB access port.

@Visconti if you can let me know the exact details of what i am entitled to that would be great.

Thanks,
This works kinda like HP Tuners.. Ecu is licensed with the software and the tune is yours to use.

So if I arranged it with you can I sell the cable and your tune and they would then get a license from you?

Really haven't done this before.

The tune I sell gives you free updates, isn't meant to be resold

Well I understand your point but it would just be someone else receiving the update. I understand if you don't want your services resold but I feel kinda jipped that I have both a license and a canned tune that have no value for anyone other than me considering the investment.

Let me know if we can work something out.

It's not a "canned" tune.

I send out updates to people that require unique changes - as needed.

You purchased something, then used it. It's not meant to be resold once it's used

Hey John, remember that underwear that you sold me? I wore it for awhile, but now can I sell it to my buddy? And if he stains it and/or puts holes in it, will you clean it or sew it for him instead of me? Oh, and can you un-sew my name and put his name on it?

...Okay, maybe not the best analogy...

This is a better one -

You buy a song on iTunes.. You can listen to it all you want , put it on all your iPods. Just can't give it to your friend. Friend needs to buy his own

Unless you paid for the tune and license and never flashed the car it should not be resellable.

Keeping it like this gives us tuners a reason to continue to activity work on / improve our product.

Understand your point however I come from the world of subaru and access port. I used it on my 09 wrx, my 11 sti and after 4 years I sold it to someone else that put it to good use on their sti. It's a different system so I understand and I'm not trying be rude or anything towards you. You are certainly a pioneer in the industry and are doing something that only a few are doing.

Thank you for your time on the platform I just wish that someone else could use this and enjoy it as I have for the last year.

Last question. Now that I have flashed to stock (not with nil pir) where does the license or tie to the ecu live? Is there anything that I need to do to remove it completely? If you would rather pm this info please feel free.

Thanks,

I still am pleased with my experience with john. I got my cable and key in under 24hour (per my request) and when I sent in a ticket for my tune I got it in just over 24hrs upon my request and it has been flawless Idles better than stock.
