Affordable Mods

Hey guys, I want to share some things with you that will cost you a bit over 15 bucks. Here it is, from Aliexpress is the stitched ebrake http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6...67035306928907

The BRZ brake kit is over 100$... so you can decide. I'm cheap I'd rather spend 15$ ish

All you need to do is get a hair dryer and some gloves. Heat your stock brake handle for about 2 minutes and use both hands to pull it off like so.

cut the lower middle piece like so

slide your new stitched ebrake on.

and now notice how the stitch colour matches perfectly. Grab a beer and celebrate!

Can you add a pic of how it looks from the front (around the thumb button)?

This would probably look better with a drift button since the hole for the ebrake button looks huge.

Free.

You can unhook the DRL relay for a more symmetrical headlight look. (it turns off the one headlight that is on at half power or something)

I have a Chromax Titanium golf ball as my shift knob. I found it. They cost about $3 retail each.

My dog chewed the OEM one... I had the ball laying around...

Two very minor mods that aren't pricey at all are bulb upgrades for the license plate (which I bought today) and plaque for the center console hole.

The bulbs from Diode Dynamics start out at 5 dollars, I got the HP3's for 12.

http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/l...nse-plate-leds

The plaques from Yospeed are 20, I got the Limited Editions for 25.

Down the line, I'll get the LED dome light and HID kit from Diode Dynamics also. Hope more people add to this thread, really fun to see what others are doing!

Aftermarket drop-in air filter...50 bucks for better throttle response, slight mpg improvement....but at the expense of filtration of finer particles
