So Where's the report?

I'm sure you also fully disclosed to the investigator that you had a part on the car not 6 inches from the pump which is known to leak fuel under pressure too right? and that it is your kit? because any less could be considered fraud.

So about that report...

The older 12568450 or 12570260 GM sensors had different size inlet/outlets but those sensors are all but obsolete. As long as you're using a current GM sensor, you'll be in great shape to use the @FA20Club.com kit.

I posted this in my other thread but we have some line update instructions located in our support console. If you didn't already get a email about it you will before the end of the day

I'm not 100% sure if this is the line we are using BUT the lines we are using is 100% ethanol compatible. We knew this was going to be a question and we have documentation from the manufacturer stating its ethanol & methanol compatible

Finally got around to overhauling the double clamped set up. As if to reinforce the fact the hoses were incorrectly sized, they slid right off as if greased on the inside. For the new hoses, I had to do quite a bit of wiggling in order to get them onto the hardline. Parts list for those that don't want to cut the metal hardline and non US customers:

1 metre of 5/16" (7.9mm ID, 14.2mm OD) Goodyear SAEJ30R9 fuel injection (EFI) hose
2x 6AN female to 5/16" hose adapter (Speedflow, Aeroquip etc)
2x 12-14mm EFI hose clamps (also re-used 2x OEM EFI clamps, they have 13.5mm printed on them)

Total: $45 AUD

I'll let the photos do the most of the talking:

Very nice.

Does anyone know what the barb diameter on the original or upgraded sensor is? Will a 5/16 house fit on it or will I need those an adapters you used?

Ill be doing similar today. I was even thinking of removing the an fittings all together and going to straight clamp.

I picked up some line from goodspeed in az where we are doing a dyno day and got to see 4 of the fa20club setups.

The local shop provided this line which they said they would use if they did my install. Its ethanol friendly and exceeds the pressure rating.

Glad you were able to fix this. A very nice and much needed correction and the write-up / photoshoot is clear and concise. Only thing I'd add to it is something for abrasion resistance but that's just me.

Take care!

I've added the OEM abrasion sleeve to the hose going to the fuel rail and might do something as well for the contact points near the engine connection and the part touching the plastic box thingy (no idea what that is).

@Yruyur, the barb on the sensor seems bigger than 5/16", could be 3/8". BUT that metal barb is a quick disconnect barb and should not be clamped. You will need to buy the adapters as I have if you want to clamp on the sensor ends.

Also I thought about reusing the fittings from the kit but ultimately decided it would not be safe to use braided hose fittings with a rubber hose.

You know something is terribly wrong when you have this much left over from installing a flex fuel kit by John Visconti - it's an absolute joke:

Bought all the stuff off ebay - links below:

Goodyear SAEJ30R9 hose:
http://goo.gl/ZFyK6F

Speedflow 6AN 5/16" fitting:
http://goo.gl/7vaeJW

EFI clamps stainless steel:
http://goo.gl/TLP6YK

One of the quick connect to 6AN adapter attached to the sensor seems to be leaking a tiny tiny bit (noticed it when I still had the old hose on). I've tightened it to the point where if I do any more it'll start stripping threads off the 6AN head. Looks like I may have to change that out as well
