@Tomm

How was the install for the TK Style lip? All 3m tape, 3m and factory holes, or did you have to drill some new holes?

All hardware included? You'd think so, but I can't tell from the 86worx site.

It’s a combo of 3M tape, self-rappers and then ‘U’ bolt clips. All hardware came with it and the holes in the lip (3 pieces) are pre drilled. The tappers are all on the bottom of the bumper and then one (on each side) in the wheel well. Yea, 86worx didn’t say much, it was kind of a leap of faith but it was the only lip I liked.

The install was easy, just take your time on fitment, because you don’t want to drill the self tappers in, in multiple holes. It helps to have another set of hands hold it in place for the two outer sections. The inner section is a breeze. I’d mock everything up first because you need do some tweaking before you lock it in.

Forgot to mention, a deer got me...

In better news, it didn’t damage the headlights or hood. Just bumper cover, wheel well and fender. I already have the new bumper cover, I’m working on a front emblem delete but it’s difficult with the SEIBON hood lines. Ordered SEIBON wider CF fenders but won’t ship until August. Wheel well is already replaced. Looking to do some fog lights instead of just plastic trim pieces too. Fortunately I had an extra right side, side marker to throw on there too. Fifth set!!!!!!

Also waiting on a Laile Brake MC brace and new HKS filter. Also trying to find time to install the Whiteline positive traction kit.

Latest update...

The timing chain leak turned into a head gasket leak (figuratively) and we've made the decision to execute the LS swap sooner than anticipated.

The motor was purchased through a pick and pull company and should arrive at the terminal tomorrow. As of right now the affected parts are being removed from the car and we're selling what we can in order to cover costs. We're more than likely going with the Sikky kit because its right up the road and hopefully we would be able to cut down on costs by eliminating shipping.

I've been listing all the parts in the classified section here on ft86club.

We're documenting this whole journey for anyone who wants to follow along - youtube and instagram are where we are posting all the recent updates.

Photo dump will follow...

Welp, I should probably provide my annual update. We moved so the garage has changed but the effort remains. The 4Runner has been my daily driver which horrible on gas but the process continues.

We have the engine and transmission in place and now everything else going in place. There was a lot of dry fitting which means a lot of drop it in and pull it out then hammering and trimming and rinse and repeat. Nothing horrible just a lot when it weighs that much. Anyway, here’s some photos.
