Hmm... it would be interesting to poll former owners.

A quick peek through the DC Craigslist revealed about 4 FR-S for sale for maybe $1000 less than a new one. All automatics. One 6MT Limited BRZ, for the same price as a new one...

It's crazy to think that I did the same thing. I previously had a RSX-S though so I knew exactly what a 200hp 4 banger felt like so I knew what I was getting into power-wise. It exceeded by expectations driving wise though so it worked out The only annoying part is when people say "wow is that as fast as it looks" and I have to say "not in a straight-line but it's one of the best handling cars out there" which most people don't seem to get or really care about. Oh well

It's pretty sad to see how much they have depreciated.

I've been seeing a lot of used FR-S' starting 21K on the trader and its just over a year with less than 10k miles. I honestly thought 27K was way too much for this car and was planning see what the 2014's have. Now, I'm going to hold off for now.

Today (8/9/2013) currently on cars.com:
239, 2013 Scion FR-Ss listed
2079, 2013 Ford Mustangs listed
318, 2013 Hyundai Genesis listed

This might be more meaningful if I had the total sales figures for each car and more car models were listed, but if FR-S sales are about 10% of Ford Mustang sales then there really aren't an usually high number of used FR-Ss for sale.

I'm surprised the Genesis number isn't much higher than the FR-S number. Without knowing their production numbers either, it seems like there might actually be less Genesis-es for sale per production number than FR-S-es.

The Gencoupe has pretty limited production runs. They did not make any for about 4 months this year (the car is built in South Korea). I would say that many more BRZ/FR-S's are produced than Genesis Coupes for the States.
