also 60/30 ticket ^^^ that ended up paying $100.... wtf... just paid (not exaggerating) a $500 ticket for 52 in a 30... same thing, they knocked it down to a "parking ticket." I guess i parked on a small child? i dont know
The DA knew the area quite well (it was a trooper ticket so you speak with the DA insted of the trooper) and he knew the spot where I got pulled over. It is downhill and it changes from a 30 to a 55, so he knew where I was coming from. Pretty chill dude. I was also the last person he spoke to so he was already tired.

My friend gets legit parking tickets all the time, average $90 fine each. 500 seems intense...but city living for ya.

None so far... but I'm very selective about where I drive fast. And I HATE wasting money on useless things like tickets. Something about passing age 40 probably.

On the other hand, being that I'm an attorney, I know all of the prosecutors in the surrounding counties and used to work for the Judge in my home county. I could likely get a "reasonable" (see not more than 20 over) ticket dismissed or reduced to a non-moving with very little effort.

If life was a videogame the cops would be the campers.

Unless there was a no standing sign you are correct and shouldn't have been told to move.

I am in a smaller town than where I live to visit family and attend a wedding. On the drive up and while in town I have seen zero fr-s/brz's. I can tell it is not common to own one here because shitloads of people are gawking at my car. I got pulled over last night for the first time in about ten years. The speed limit is 70. I was driving 72 and see the disco lights. The cop informs me that the speed limit goes from 70 to 65 over this bridge on a major highway. I gave my info and he went back to check my warrant status or whatever. I told him I was not familiar with the area. He asked why I waited so long to stop and that there was a weigh station I could have pulled into. Thing is, all the road debris gets kicked over to those areas and I am damn sure not going to pick up rocks and other junk with my tires and possibly damage my car. I waited for a safe shoulder. I got off with a warning but I was pissed. Thanks for profiling me.
