Painted! With VHT Niteshade Red* I did a lot of coats to make sure it has a solid deep red look, then top it up with a thick glossy clearcoat.

It looks really good. Though I must ask does it have a glossy finish or that shitty grainy spray bomb finish? I can't stand the spray bomb matte texture...

You can polish the paint and the matte finish will be gone assuming of course the clear was laid properly.

Depending on the process it should come out looking like a body shop sprayed the pieces once they have been polished.

Back in the day I used VHT Nightshade paint to blackout my tail lights. Dumb move as it got me a ticket but I did have shiny black tinted tails.

Nice.

Could you take a video and post it with brake lights on/off and indicator on/off. Here in New Zealand we have some tough laws on modifications so I would like to judge if the amount of light would be legal before I do this to my own car.

light output is almost just like stock. there is not a noticeable loss in light output at all
