What is a long upgrade?
I want to do a modification that will be hard take time, but is cheap and look dope in the end. Hit me with your thoughts. I have a lot of time on my hands haha.

My thought is this: Before modifying your car, figure out what you don't like about it or would like to see improved. Modifying for the sake of modifying often turns out to make the car worse than original.

Painting is a really good place where DIY is very cheap, materials are inexpensive, and the payoff is huge. Same with learning to detail. An orbital buffer is fairly inexpensive for a beginner, and materials aren't terribly expensive. Claybar-ing takes a while, same with cutting, polishing, and sealing - payoff is huge again.

i've never seen a modification that is hard, time consuming, and cheap. my reverse light project has taken over 5 years, and has a comma in the current tally. my gt-r spoiler project has been in the works the last 3 years, and isn't too far off-- the next batch of parts i need will push it over into comma territory.

Interior mods. Paint, upholstery and design.
That would keep you busy for a few years. You would learn to do your initial design/colour scheme, sew and do composites if you wanted. |

Long upgrade? Simple:
Sell pos car, buy any V6/V8 car. See simple as that.
