Dang, I thought I had something with a 1:47.6. Of course that's with 30 less horsepower than you.

RCE Yellow's on stock shocks, Perrin 19mm front and rear sways, Essex Sprint brakes, NT01 tires. Berk fart pipe, homemade oil cooler.

OK, I think I have one. At least for the time being.

Palmer Motorsports Park-1:52.58-Jim Pomroy-5/22/16-RCE Yellows/Perrin 19mm Sways/Essex Sprint/Homemade Oil Cooler/Raceseng Cascam plates/Berk Fart Pipe/NT01's on 17x8 RPF1's.

Watkins Glen-2:22.66-Jim Pomroy-5/17/16-RCE Yellows/Perrin 19mm Sways/Essex Sprint/Homemade Oil Cooler/Raceseng Cascam plates/Berk Fart Pipe/NT01's on 17x8 RPF1's.

Had a a few 2:21's but I only have the data, no video.

FWIW, I had RCE Tarmac 2's on last year. This year I was 2.5 seconds faster at MO with the Yellow's and sways. Granted that's a year apart but it goes to show how well the Yellow's were designed.

Why the switch from RCE T2 to Yellows? (Currently on Yellows so wanted to hear your input)

We're going to need a date break on all WGI times, pre/post repaving. From the CI's and Instructors I've spoken with, the new pavement is so much faster almost anyone will beat their old fastest laps by the end of their first few sessions. You've got a good chance to break 2:20's this year. My club is running up there Mon-Tues but I can't make it to give a personal review.

*edit* I've got to stop doing this at work. Just saw your times were on the new pavement.

NA Shannonville Motorsports Park Long Track/2:06.09/Oct 1st 2017/HKS Hipermax 4 GT coilovers, SPC LCA, 17x8 +35 TC105N replica with 225/45r17 Hankook RS3, RR Racing Sport Performance front BBK with Winmax W5 pads all around. Stock intake/exhaust/tune.

Video:
[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzuA0WYRU8w"]Shannonville lapping Full Track Oct 1 2017 2 06 - YouTube[/ame]

Discussion: I think a high 2:04 is possible in the cars current form but more seat time and especially more guts are needed. There were a variety of factors that meant I wasn't going to see a sub 2:07 again for the rest of the day after this session.

A few points: During my last session, I got some coaching from a professional race driver and he pointed out a few things that could add up. Turn 1 is actually faster to short shift to 4th before entry because I hesitate on power due to running out of gear mid corner if I don't. Also, turn 5 left hand sweeper, I slow more for it than I need to and I shouldn't hit the inside curbing like I do in the video. If you do this corner right, you need to shift into 4th on exit. On turn 7, due to the off camber nature of that corner, my line is entirely wrong so I'll have to completely relearn that corner. I turn in a bit early for turn 9 so I should be able to maintain more speed if I turn in just a bit later. Finally, turn 14 (last left hander before the right hander onto the straight) also turning in too late but this mostly causes poor setup for turn 15 where the exit onto the front straight is more important.

While I think this is the fastest posted time for my level of prep at this course, I'll note that this isn't the fastest NA car by any stretch. I have seen a video floating around from 2017 CSCS round 4 where an NA FRS did a 1:59 but that's a dedicated time attack car with slicks, exhaust, tuning and aero so I can't put myself in the same ballpark. I think it's an @AlphaMotorsports.ca car.

This new video obsoletes my old video by over 6 seconds:

NA Shannonville Motorsports Park/2:12.95/May 5th 2016/HKS Hipermax 4 GT coilovers, SPC LCA, 17x8 +35 TC105N replica with 245 (old) Rivals, RR Racing Sport Performance front BBK with BP10 pads front, EBC Yellows rear, Motul RBF600. Stock intake/exhaust/tune.

Video:
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQFZO0U1Lfg[/ame]

2:12.95 Timed from the start/stop line on the front straight in the video.

This isn't really quick and only represents a time for an intermediate driver in a lightly modified car. I think someone who is actually quick could do a sub 2:10 in a bone stock car in the same conditions. I'm just posting this to encourage someone who is actually fast to post their video so I can study it!

Well, I will soon be reaching the end of my FRS era/ownership this season. Might have a couple of more trackdays left in the car, before I move on. So I figured I leave something on the board for others to improve on.

2.01 - 4 year old 2013 FRS, 100% Stock engine, Tomei headers, Drift Office tune, the rest of exhaust being OEM, H&R springs, Cusco stabilizer hardware front and back, OEM calipers, StopTech rotors, Ferodo DS 1.11 pads, full trunk, even still have the tow hitch, lol (for when I tow my track bikes), 17x8 OZ wheels with Nitto NT01 235 tires. A little bit of traffic, but not too bad...incident on track and had to pull out mid session!
