The blood red on Mazdas is sexy. I heart it.

Not sure why but they use the red colour for every car in their tv commercials. I dont like it personally.

When you configure the new MX-5 on the Mazda Canada website, it says "Most Popular" when you scroll over the red colour. Brand new model, but red is most popular already? Perhaps corporate feels pushing red models is best for the introduction.

Enough uber cars, put an evolved RX8 engine into a Roadster as an option, call it an R-spec and test the market. Make it more expensive than a BRZ, but less than a 370Z and see if people go for it. I would.

They just put a lot of effort into soul red metallic. They made a big article about in the past. That's why its heavily promoted. Honestly its a very nice red in person. I don't like to have red cars though, and if someone hits it...going to have real fun getting a shop to match it completely.

Same colour as my first wifes previous Chrysler mini van. Probably more hyped up though.

There are two Mazda dealers in my area and one has nothing but white cars in the showroom and the other only red. It's pretty cool as those are the two Mazda colors I dig. It's called Soul Red? I call it blood red and I can't put my finger on exactly what it is about it, but it just looks different than other reds and I like it a lot. If I went Roadster it would have to be that color with some big bronze rims.

methinks you haven't seen it in person.

I could see the resemblance though if the Mazda hasn't been washed in about a month.

Or the mini van is a polished up and has lost of complimentary colour lights on it at a car show.
