V6 challenger vs frs/brz

If you're thinking about pimpin' - get the challenger. If you're thinkin about robbing hot models - get the frs/brz :p

The challenger is a tuna boat, and a dodge to boot, so you know where my vote goes. Some people like boats though, but the fact that you're even cross shopping a twin vs a challenger tells me you need to figure out what you prioritize more before you go any further.

Yes I have, it's basically the same price for the two, but of course that's the v6 challenger, I'm leaning more towards a twin now lol

I'm driving a hand-me-down 2001 grand caravan right now and it has shown that dodge is not that reliable...

Yeah, I wouldn't get a Challenger unless it had 700+ HP. All style, no substance. It loses every comparo it's in for a reason, and with a V6, it has even less substance. Having owned a Neon, I'm no fan of Dodge. You're better off looking at a Camaro or a Mustang if you want something larger than a twin, but really, go with your heart. Go with what you think you won't regret, where the emotion is strongest.

I bought one because of great handling, decent gas mileage, enough power, 6 speed manual, rwd, affordable, looks, and perceived reliability/cost to repair/maintain/mod.
All that equals lots of fun for many miles for relatively low cost.

I would suggest you drive as many cars as you can and get a feel for what you like and what better fits your lifestyle.

Just so u know, old challenger is based on the same platform of older chargers. So it's actually a family saloon in muscle car clothing.... frs is really not up there for daily too, I suggest u pick something else like g35, 300zx.

I was comparing the same cars, along with a few others, I went with the BRZ right when they came out, fast forward 2 1/2 years and the BRZ was gone and an SXT Challenger took it's place, the BRZ was a fun little car, it was sharp looking, fun on the winding roads, excellent automatic transmission, but it was noisy as hell, on the highway (I'd have to have the radio around 90% to hear it over the road noise), when it was raining forget it, rain on a tin can roof, the stiff suspension got old fast living in New England where are roads have lots of bumps, potholes, etc, winding roads were maybe 1% of my driving, and the lack of low end power made the car frustrating to drive.

I'm much happier with the Challenger, even the V6 is quite a bit faster than the BRZ, I find it a lot more fun to drive day to day, it's a lot more comfortable of a car, but yes, weighing in at just over 3800 pounds it doesn't take the turns like the BRZ, though when I say it doesn't take the turn like the BRZ I don't mean as what it's capable of, the Challenger can take the corners just as fast and really a hair faster than the BRZ, it just feels a lot mushier doing it, the 2015 Challenger SXT was in fact slightly faster thru Motor Trend's figure 8 and pulled a slightly higher lateral G than the BRZ, mostly I'm sure due to wider and better tires as the BRZ's tires were crap.

If I lived in a place where I had lots of winding roads to drive on that were actually smooth and not littered with potholes and poor patches to said potholes I would have enjoyed the BRZ a lot more, but given where I live I could only really see it practical as a weekend fun car.

I really don't get people complaining about noise...... Do you want a sports car or not? If not, don't buy one.
