Well they are switch backs and pull 3w when just the parking lights are on and when they are flashing they switch from white to yellow and draw 4w. But I never measured those myself. I’m just trusting the specs on the amazon listing.

You NEVER trust seller claims on bulb wattage.
Based on the fact that you needed much higher value resistors, those bulbs must be drawing far less than 4 watts.

Yeah that is my thinking. I ordered the fronts and a relay that omits the burnt bulb notification. But it has this annoying lag when first turning on the blinkers. Then I came across a review on Amazon were someone said they modified their OEM relay so then I found this thread. Before I selected a resistor I ordered bulbs for the rear from the same company that made the front bulbs. When those came in I tested their draw myself and it matched the specs they had on the listing so I figured the specs on the fronts didn’t need to be verified.

Eventually I will pull them out and check them myself and then get a smaller resistor so the burnt bulb detection will work again.

In the same boat. No idea what resistor to use.

don't, just order either an 'led flasher' off ebay/amazon/whatever, or buy a tapturn. the newest iterations of tapturn don't have the issue described.

I got a spare blinker module so I'm going to try it first.
Will a 0.22 ohm resistor work

The proper (and I mean PROPER) turn signal flasher mod for LED bulbs.

It all depends on the draw from the LEDs. This thread has all the info you need to do the number crunching.

I've done this a few times to get the resistance right for various bulbs. Just but a pack of resistors and parallel them if required.

I can't exactly pull off bumper and test load easily so i went for trial and error method.
I tried 0.22ohm (caused only one blink and thats it)
0.44ohm (same result)

0.1ohm (fixed blinkers except now hazards are only one blink and then silent)

I ordered a Tapturn module so I'll probably use this temp fix until that comes.

Means 0.1 is still too much.

might as well put a wire from 1 terminal to the other? 0.1 is so low

Exactly. The over-current protection is kicking in.

Remember, the original resistor meant for 21W incandescent bulbs is 0.02-ohms. So if the LEDs are high power (or the bulbs have extra resistors built-in to just burn up power), the resistor values may need to get quite low to match them.

Yeah I'll probably try just a straight wire after my tapturn module arrives
