You know what, my car was pretty dirty -- @SC David's photos are just that good. Love how super sharp those pics are.

LOL TMI! The road is Grizzly Peak above Berkeley. Be careful though, that particular turnout is not lowered-car-friendly. We had to pick our ingress/egress points carefully. Something that would be impossible at night without scraping I think. There are several turnouts though.

oh, and I have the first video up and ready... played around with it for a while last night and don't have a decent enough MP4 editor to dub in my music so I am using some Youtube filler music. Can't figure out how to make it loop through the whole video though.

ok here's the 2nd video from the weekend... not really happy with it, but I had my machine processing it all night and I'm sick of trying to mess with it for now. Unfortunately Windows Movie Maker squished the video so everything looks tall. I'm gonna try to upload a better resolution version later, sorry for the crappy quality of this. I need better software!

EDIT: I fixed it! 720p and widescreen! woot!

Nice! I was wondering if you were gonna post that section. That was a fun run. Even when we were pushing moderately hard, it didn't look like much through the eyes of the rearward facing GoPro! Love that angle though.

yeah I guess you need the roaring exhaust and screeching tires to really give you a true sense of the pace we were going haha.

@MyRx yeah we kept it really safe, there are too many cyclists and runners on these roads at the hours we were driving them. There were stretches where you can get pretty fast but not knowing the roads well I tend to be conservative.
Lol moving obstacles.

Yeah, that area tends to be a mecca of ppl b/c of family activities there. More so at times than Oakland hills. But y'all drove great, damn woulda been nice to hear ur motor spool up. Gopro ur engine sir .

Yeah, exact reason I usually go at the butt crack o dawn, although most of them are cool and would actually wave you over once you are clear to pass on a blind curve, there's always the a handful of over zealous "share the road" psychos that would ride the center of the lane just to prove a point.

Yeah, those UEL's make the car sound soooo gooood. I teared up a little the first time I heard it (I still miss my wrx ). Even just sitting in the car, you could only faintly hear the spool and no bov, which I really liked and would probably go that route once/if I get mine.

Back on topic, I'm trying to figure out if there is some interest to go for a morning drive this weekend. I was originally planning on doing the Oakland autox, but my schedule might not work out.

I'm in for a Saturday AM drive (till 10am ish). Weather permitting, we may head out to the coast with the family. We could 'baby talk' vubaru's setup as more and more info is revealed and tempting. I'm sold on its discreetness.
