don't look to hard. i did. that paint needs some serious restoration with bad water spots everywhere, the drivers side door card covering is starting to lift, wheels are poorly painted-orange peeled, one appears to have had a acid-based cleaner on it for too long, creating discoloring and streaking, and the rear wheel arches are wavy. and that's just what i saw immediately.

it's not worth anywhere near $80k with all those issues for me.

Wow, you're a detail guy. I didn't notice all that from the photos I checked, but I could tell it wasn't worth 80k. I can't imagine it rides well. It's a purpose-built vehicle for pushing a car on the salt flats. WTF do I need with that? If the motor is truly sorted and the tranny can handle it, it might be worth 30k.

Haha, yeah, um no. This is a SEMA build truck. The salt flat part is just an excuse. No push plate on the front makes that purpose hard to use it for. The custom interior with a wild single-brand audio system(very few non-sponsored rides ever get all their audio stuff from one brand), custom air ride, trick bed(seriously, it goes parallel up, not a dump bed that would have some use), custom milled door handles, and one-off wheels all gave it away.

Here its on speedhunters in 2012, so the build is old enough to be humfrz's kid. And knowing how rushed SEMA builds go, I wouldn't touch it for anything over $10k. In the comments, they say it was at SEMA before the article was made.

Edit:found and even older pic of it. This trucks been through a lot.

Here's an article about the streamliner and shows the truck behind it.

It wasn't the car per se (in which I can see a certain appeal). It was the fact that a car like that is on a website called "sanfranciscosportscars". In other words, that car doesn't fulfill my definition of a sports car. In more words, the website feng shui is all wrong.

I went out a couple times with a gal in college that had one. I thought the fenders and stuff were going to fall off while driving. Total tin can.
