Sounds awesome on my phone! Lol. Looks good so far. I be watching for the jls in the doors!
My full size ID amps didn't look so big till I tried to figure out how to mount them. Just ordered a pdx-v9 to run my whole system.

Maybe build a rack with them mounted like you have it up against the seat but stack them up.

something like this // | with the straight line being the back seat. You would need some fans though probably.

I was thinking about doing something like that ...still going back and forth because I want to avoid having stuff "in the way" as much as possible.

Got my JL 6s a while ago but have been busy. I posted some pics in the first post. Looks like they'll fit if I mount them on the door panel so that's the plan. Not sure when exactly I'll get to it but it's on my todo list.

Been a while since I've done anything. I made a template of the trunk and created a new false floor with some thin plywood. Covered it with some carpet and secured it down. I had to do the floor in three pieces so that I could fit it in the trunk but you don't really see the seams since the entire middle section (majority) is one piece.

I'm not happy with the amplifier placement at all. These amps are just way too big and bulky. I removed the amp's feet and replaced them with some plywood using the original amp's undermounted screws. It helped remove some of the bulk so now I'll be able to create a nice looking cover piece for the amps.

I haven't done anything with the JL's in the front doors. Time has been tight between work and my house renovations.

See the first post for pics of the new trunk

How are you/did you noise insulate the rear deck lid and trunk lid? I find those are the worst places for rattle with my sub.

I was walking around in the beginning but towards the end of the meet I gave a few demos.

The majority comes from the brake light. I wound up taking the deck lid off, putting sound dampening on the rear deck, removed the third brake light from the deck, cut a huge hole in it where the brake light was, and finally put a high mount LED strip on top to replace my missing brake light.

...clearly I need to update this thread

I think so!

Did you end up moving the amps vertical or are they still the same?

That's... A really good idea. I'll probably be doing that myself! Any plans to do a DIY write up for the LED brake strip?

I updated the first page with pics of the port hole. I didn't snap any shots of the brake light because I'm still working on it. As of right now it's just double-sided taped to the back of the headliner - which actually works surprisingly well (except for the fact that it lights up the whole window at night).

Using a port hole in the back deck is awesome. It hits nice and most of the vibration is gone since the air has an easier pathway into the cabin. I love it.

Can you take some pics of the wiring for the amps? I have a Rockford fosgate setup I want to plug in to my stock HU, but haven't found any good how-to's for where to hook in to the harness.

i was wondering where you hooked up the remote wire. every forum i go to says something different. so just curious to know what you did. and if you happen to know if the FRS is the same. the remote wire is the only thing holding me back. i have everything hooked up for 2 subs and an amp except for the remote lol.
