Canbus solution

I stumbled upon this. It may help some of us. AGT engineering has a canbus solution for the FR-S/BRZ agtengineering.com.au or on Facebook I emailed them I will give an update as I get information from them

I received an email back and they stated it's not officially released yet, though it is being tested and will be released after it is thoroughly tested. Anyone know who the Betta testers are? I would love to see how testing is going so far.

That's odd. It looks like it can be purchased from here http://www.subarugears.com/subatronics/Pricing.html

That is a different product to run a late model Subaru motor in pretty much any thing. The one I'm waiting on let's you run any motor in a BRZ/ FR-S and keep all the systems that are run by the canbus system

Ah Dont know about @ Mad Panda,.. but as far as the states......that would be me.....it would of been done months ago but we had some programming issues with the first unit and because AGT is in Australia the process is slow. This unit is about the size of a pack of cigarettes and will translate any CAN system to another, or create can signals if necessary to go CAN to no CAN.

Nice
1)when it's configured correctly can you run just the GM ECU, their device and scrap the fa20 ECU?

2)Is this the route Vorshlag is going? I plan on buying the kit when it's available

There are a few companies working on these.

All of them have been working for more than a year.

Several have emailed me updates. One has the FRS gauge cluster working on a bench with no engine using simulated signals, another has an FRS cluster partially working in a Holden Monaro.

None of them yet have a salable product yet.

Though I have no doubt one will eventually be released, it's a unicorn at the moment.

I wish it were a horse I could buy one, and they work. Unicorns not so much.

It's the damndest thing, in all the world I only know of 2 people working on this and they're both not only Australian, but live about 30 minutes drive from one another.

I wish they could get it figured out. I know a few stand alone ECU companies have it most of the way figured out, though I would like the option of using the GM ECU and a canbus translator to keep it functioning like a factory car. It will make refing the car in California a lot easier.
