Installed SmartTap Relay, LED turn bulbs / Valenti REVOs

Hey everyone,

The install is pretty straight forward, the Flasher relay is under the steering wheel, you would need to remove the panel.

Unclip it, and plug in the new one.

Some of the features are very showy,

but the features i really enjoy are the to signal(tap to turn) and departure lights.

When you lock your car, the parking lights stay on from 0 to 90 seconds depends on how you to set it. I really like how well it plays with the valenti revos

anyone who updated their turns to led, i highly recommend getting it. Prevents hyperblinking and gives your car more features.

Revos and Tap to turn

How does the tap to turn function of the relay work with the sequential function on the Revos? Can you show that in a video?

Love my Smart Tap. But I don't understand why people go through all the work of removing panels and unclipping old relay. Just unplug the harness from stock relay, plug into the Smart Tap and use a tie strap to secure. Done!

Any issues with the arrival mode feature coming on for 20 seconds ? The departure mode works fine on mine, but nothing on the arrival. Everything else works great! Just to note, I'm also on a different platform

"All the work"? The panel comes off in seconds. I don't understand why someone would think it's a lot of work to remove it to have a little more room see what you're doing, especially for those who have never removed the relay before.

And the harness unplugs in seconds. Not rocket science

I could be wrong, but I don't believe TapTurn is as full featured as the SmartTap

With the right tool it took me all of 30 seconds to remove the stock relay from it's clip.

Nope, tapturn does everything this does. Changing settings looks like it might be slightly different, but I haven't messed with my tapturn settings since getting it.

We thought it was a great product idea, so we made our own unique version.

Our engineering team improved the programming to be more intuitive, and we included "Strobe" features with all models, no upcharge.

Our SmartTap is also a completely new flasher, not an add-on chip to an existing generic flasher. This means no hesitation on the first blink.

Also, ours is priced at $60 USD.

Thanks!

To be fair, the TapTurn module has no first blink hesitation either

I love my Smart Tap! I mainly just use the 'tap to turn' feature. I do however think the hazard strobe feature is pretty cool, if I were to go to a car show or something!

I am also wondering about the 20 second arrival mode. I have the departure like JPxM0Dz said, but no arrival.

Install was very easy! I just poked my head under the dash, unclipped it, and installed the new one. Then noticed I sliced a big old gash on my finger while doing it. That was fun! I'm a small guy, so its easy for me to get under there. That's the things I do at my job anyways 😂

Glad to see others asking about this!!! Same thing with mine, everything works but the arrival lighting. Went through 2 RMAs with them, then they gave up.... @Diode Dynamics is keeping this issue quiet...

The listing has been updated to reflect the compatibility of arrival & departure modes on each vehicle. Unfortunately, we can't test every CF18-equipped vehicle, but we do our best to make sure the listing is updated and customers are taken care of.

We have offered a full refund for anyone who purchased a SmartTap and wishes to return it based on that feature not being compatible.
