Plenty from the Lexus line. Sure the price would have went up a little probably but as we have seen people are willing to spend 30k for the release series. No reason they couldn't have came out with a higher end model if they wanted to.

Which you would know that a roadster is not the same segment as the "GT" coupe. And both the Miata and Fiat are "slower" than the toyobaru anyway.

Like I said, there is nothing in the same segment with the particulars that the toyobaru fills. and if they had a more powerful version, the price would easily go up 5-7k per vehicle on the market. then you step into a whole way different and more saturated RWD coupe segment.

Not to be an ass, but I'm pretty sure you said this "RWD, low COG, under 30k and lightweight (3000lbs) brand new that you have the choice to buy? Nothing."

apparently you're more literal than I am. pretty sure the already assumed inferences didn't need to be brought up (such as comparing in the same segment of vehicle).

Agreed. I'd be just as well off getting a motorcycle as a Miata because I'd be the only person every in/on it. 2+2 configuration is what makes the twins hit such a sweet spot. I drove myself and my coworker to the airport for a Japan trip in my FR-S on Saturday. A Miata would have slumbered in the garage. Literally the same thing would happen any time my daughter would need to go anywhere with me.

I talked about this with my buddy the other day. The thing that would secure the value and worth of this car is if the car is featured in a new fast and furious movie and is driven by a main character.
