Typical Subaru fashion. They're always super tight lipped about debuts- concepts or production cars. They will announce something in the next day or so.

Not me. I think this concept looks just as ridiculous as the hack jobs people post in the body kit threads. Especially that stupid wing.

They look like a pain in the ass to me. Not ergonomic in the slightest.

so it's just a concept meant to show what sti could do if they wanted to do it? Seems like a waste of money to me. It's turning out to be that when subaru makes a concept of something you are almost certain it's not going to happen.

Granted I'm a jerk and basing this off one concept of the WRX and how much broken promises that lead to. Then again we did get an STI concept of the BRZ a long time ago and all that lead to was a series blue bodykit and some blue parts.

Love everything about this "concept" minus the GT wing! The door handles are cool but a bit extreme if made for a production model.

If/When the refresh happens, I'll be happy if the production version has a few traits from this desgin but more smoother around the edges of course. Feel like they'll have to, since they want to market SPT/STi parts to be added on afterwards.

it was on the previous page (10), but yeah i didn't go through the 10 pages either so no flame for you...

I feel like CS class in autox got messed up recently with the FRS trd parts added as port installed items. If Subaru can even things out by giving us SPT or STI parts in the same manner then I'm good with this kind of change.

Subaru BRZ STI Performance Concept

Here are some more live pictures.

Love what they have done with this. This car needed a turbo engine from day one.

It still isn't getting one. It's just the same EJ20 from their GT300 BRZ racecar.

I think they just figured that people like us have been putting red accents on everything for years so why not. WRX/STI grills have red lined all over them in the aftermarket side of things and some BRZ owners do it too. We used to be all about that cherry blossom pink but now a days it's just straight up red.

But still, it's sad to read that all this was is an example of what the STI brand can do with a car that they don't make a true sti version of.
