Forgestar F14 17x9 +35...yes, 17" Forgestars!

Well I'm quite ecstatic to finally get these up! Many of you are familiar with the 18 and 19 inch Forgestar F14's seen on Rocket Bunny kits (google forgestar rocket bunny if you've been under a rock haha) but many people were not aware that Forgestar makes 17in F14 wheels! Yes, 17"!

Like many of you, I wanted a 17" wheel, because of weight, tire price and performance. However, I didn't want a wheel that is seen everywhere *cough* rpf1 *cough*, but it still needed to be good looking, lightweight, high quality and available in perfect fitment...and after Jurrian @ModBargains.com started bugging me about changing wheels on my FRS, I decided to pull the trigger on some 17x9 +35 Forgestar F14 in Textured Black.

Modbargains 17" Forgestar F14

Lets start about Forgestar...these wheels are CUSTOM built to order, so size, width, offset AND color can be selected by you to fit PERFECTLY (Modbargains can help you choose proper fitment, if you are unsure). There are a lot of wheels out that fit our car, but they don't fit well-they are sucked into the wheel wells looking like stock, or poke out. I opted for 17x9 +35 because that seems to be the size/offset to have for perfect fitment when you have a touch of camber, allow for wide rubber (you know, because our cars are so powerful haha) and perform well under pretty much any condition. Plus, after choosing size/width and offset, you pick out a color. These get powder coated, and there are TONS of colors available-you want pink? Got it. How about blood Red? Yup. How about normal colors like black, silver and gold? Yeah those are available too haha.

I opted for Textured black Forgestar F14 17x9 +35! Check out the photos below!

Weight: No offical weight yet (too excited to get on car haha), but this same wheel in 17x8.5 was 16.2lbs...

The front tires are Toyo R1R in 245/40/17 and rear are Nitto NT01 245/45/17...pretty meaty haha. Just happen to be some tires that I had, I'll be going to 245/40 or 255/40 all around for my next set.

no offical weight for the 17x9 +35, but the 17x8.5 weighted in at 16.2lbs.

I was too excited to get these on the car! When I get new tires I'll throw them on a scale unless someone in the mean time picks some up!

That would be awesome. They look great! I wish they'd come out before I bought my wheels.

I've done 17x10 ET55 quite a bit on S2000's for a track fitment. 17x10 comes in at 17.75LBS so 17x9 is likely in the high 16lbs' depending on offset that's used:

nope! Which photo was it though? There are times I lower it after the fact, but I always specify in the thread/post that I did so to prevent confusion.

I had 18's before this, maybe it was that?

oh maybe it was 18s... i cant remember. it was in one of the ST coilover threads and it was a picture of your car parked on the side of the street at about a rear 3/4 angle.

ah, yeah I have a few photos throughout the ST threads...ride height is the same, and the back should look about the same, since the tries are about the same size. Front might look like a little bit more wheel gap though.

Otherwise, they sit/look about the same. Coloring/lighting might be a little different making it look like I have more wheel gap however. Those other photos were taken in pretty harsh sunlight.

I've always liked these wheels, and didn't realize Forgestar would do 17s. But it's a little disappointing knowing they won't do 7.5" or 8" widths.

Awesome wheels! thanks for sharing. looks like everyone is getting 17x9 +35. Some people say it's perfect flush with some negative camber, others say it pokes a little in the front unless you can get ~ -2.5 degree up front. I still dont know what the final verdict is. Since you can pretty much get any offset with forgestar wheels, I am wondering if I should stick with +35, or tuck it back a little with +36 or +38? Since I was only able to get -1.5 camber with camber bolts.
