That's gotta be loud as fuck. Glad I don't live on your street.
Or in your state if that's legal there.

So you have a stock header, with the stock cat. Full OEM exhaust with the cat and muffler chopped off? Its placebo.

Well, as you age, some peoples minds can't remember recent events, so they dig up past events. Like in your case, 1979. That indicates that your mind is not too far gone - oh, wait one, that would be my mind (1979), how old were you in 1979?

Optional.
I don't see the value in doing that to the stock header unless you did the work your self. The cats them selves are the main restriction. The hollow chambers shouldn't effect performance much. It'll Likley do more for the sound than anything else.

Why go to all that trouble when you can cut the pipe just after the header pipes come together and then run a straight pipe to the side of the car, pops out just behind the front wheels..

I was the geezer shouting over the racket that the OP had generated through the modification of his exhaust system..

Almost it's a stock header with cat, stock decatted frontpipe, 2.5in midpipe with howitzer resonator and 2.5in axle back no muffler with 4in tips. I will decat the header and replace it with a section of pipe then remap.
