Anything on combating the heat. I think its pretty clear we could all use an oil cooler.

Agree. Until last weekend I though it was a must have for everyone, but after seen my uncle driving (BTW it wasn't extremely low speed, more like normal people driving on regular car), and no heating problems...

So maybe most of us will need oil coolers, bigger rads, vents, WMI... It will depend on how you use your car. That been said, there is no one unique solution for everyone.

That I take the overkill route? Well better safe than sorry

Any more people running fender vents of any type/construction?

I know @Lunatic has some, and a handful of others, but I don't see too much said about them.

I am, and our shop car is.

I was going to run the Prova vents on my FRS anyways because I prefer the look to the "86" logo on the fender. When I proposed the idea to my boss for the shop car to add real vents while installing the Prova ones, he liked the idea.

I ended up doing a lot of work to the shop car all at once, including wrapping the headers. I went and test drove the car after performing the work, and smoke burning off the wrap was blowing out of the newly cut fender vents quite ferociously. So I can't exactly say how much airflow or heat is getting sent out there, since nothing has been tested, but it at least works to an extent.

Here it is on my personal car:

Damn I'm very very close to cutting holes in my hood.. can't get over the fact that i don't like the carbon hoods and color for this car and the vents on most still have the same risk or potential issue of allowing water to get all over my hot downpipes and turbine housing.

Thank you. Any shots from the inside of the fender or with the hood open?

That's about it. I used a dermal to cut out the plastic BRZ vent, and a metal cut off wheel to cut out the steel fender. I used double sided tape to attach the painted screen to the fender insert and then double sided tape again to attach that to the fender.

Does the double sided tape seem to be holding up well?
