Lead Toyota Test Driver Killed in German Crash

You could at least wait to find out the details before you jump to conclusions. Naruse was 67, he could have had a heart attack.

Good point... BMW driver is in critical condition too, so it must of been hard crash

Sad day there. But like Matador said, we don't know the whole situation. If you look at the video, the car looks like it did all it could to protect the driver. In front of the A-pillar it looks pretty-much vaporized, meaning it took all the energy that it could. But the passenger compartment is intact, meaning it didn't collapse into the driver. Don't know if the fabric in there were the airbags after deployment or sheets for...

Like I said before though, no car is death-proof, but CF can make them more death-resistant.

It's a somber reminder to us of the risks we all take just getting behind the wheel.

i still don't really understand why Supras are so much damn money...they are 16 years old and minimum price you can get one for is like $15,000, it's ridiculous.

Because they kick so much ass?

$15k is cheap for a MK4, that would be a RHD twin-turbo AUTO price, RHD V160 twin-turbos are still close to $20. LHD's are $5k to $10K more. RHD NA auto MK4's are about $7k-$10k if all you care about is the look.

I don't think they kick 3 times more ass than my 300zx TT, cause that is how much more money they are.

I think, Supra MKIV can beat 300zx TT. Supra has powerful stopping braking power. I don't remember 300zx having braking of 70~0 before 149 feet. If my memory is correct, 300zx TT braking distance for 70~0 were 166~170 feet.

edit: correction. This article said, 300zx TT braking distance was 168 feet... I was pretty close.

Well, it does kick the 300zx tt ass but being three times more expensive is another story.

Bad for you good for me , i had mine appraised for $43,000 CAD 2 weeks ago.

This is a 1995 North American Supra Twin Turbo with (as of today) 92,000 km.

Maybe this could be moved to 'Off-Topic' too.

And supras are so much more then the 300zx for a couple reasons, not diss your ride, but MKIV has like they said before, 3 times the potential, at least on a stock block as opposed to a 300zx stock block, now anybody can say anything about a rebuilt engine and can make the power to beat whatever, but when talking about an engines potential on a stock bottom end, that's why the supra is 3X the potential. But like I said I'm not hating on 300zx's there another one of my fav 90's super imports
