Hey everybody, I am from Albany, NY. Currently drive a 2001 BMW 330ci 5 speed. I do some autocross and am generally a major auto enthusiast. I have been looking forward to the FT86 from the second it was announced. I will absolutely own this car when it comes out. Everything about it seems perfect, the weight, the layout, the interior and specifications look just perfect.

If they release it in the US, I am going for the ultra base "customization" model. Hopefully it will even have roll-up windows! I will not baby the car, but I will probably not modify it enough to void the warranty until it is up. I will autocross/track the crap out of it!

I love my BMW E46, but I want something a bit lighter, definitely still RWD, and most importantly a little more reliable. I miss my old Toyota Corolla for the fact that I bought it with 100,000 miles, sold it with almost 300,000 miles and never had a single problem the entire time I had it.
This will also be my first new car, so I am pretty darn excited!

It will be interesting in choosing between the Subaru and Toyota versions for me. Last Toyota I owned was a 1986 MR2.

In continuing with having lower center of gravity, I hope there will be plenty of no-sunroof models available.

the potential is there....hope they deliver on the promise

I have been lurking around for a while and finally seeing what has been leaked out...I like what I see; hope the price and performance, especially the handling will not disappoint; have owned and driven some awesome sports cars from Japan and can say that the fun has not much to do with power....this car has enough power and just needs to be nimble and tossable like the Miata; the GTR is great fun too but its different kind of fun; I am glad the FR-S is finally going to be here.

I've been lurking a bit, and noticed the massive leak of information that came out yesterday. FR-S or BRZ will definitely be a car in my future it seems... hoping they release a model with a bit more power, but I'm actually satisfied with the base models as they are spec'ed... more power would just be a plus at this point.

Welcome to the forum newcomers! Please abstain from posting new threads without searching. Remember this is the internets so try to be nice. Plenty of the vets can get cranky or gruff. Stick around and try to get along and you will do just fine.

If you find an old post, I would bump the original rather than start a new one so long as it is still relevant. If you want a poll and can't find a recent poll just an older one or several, I would start a new poll but link to the most recent poll in the first paragraph of your new post. We have this come up all the time.

New here

Hey everyone.

My name is Zach and I'm a Scikotic. ("hi zach")

I bought my RS5 tC in 2009 and have been following the development of this car for a few years now. I definitely want the Scion version when that is available here in the U.S. Depending on specs and prices for the Subaru version, I might have to jump ship to team Subie though.

I will continue to lurk quietly as I am already active on 3 or 4 other auto forums.

FT-86. WANT.
