opti-color or xylon treatment?

opti-color or xylon treatment? which is better?

i had to ask since i see alot of the guys here are doing the opti-color treatment.. $300-$400?

xylon treatment was being offered to me by toyota and with a lifetime warranty also if theres any dings or dents they will remove them.. sounds really good to me? has anybody done it? $700-$800 range...

just wondering which is better to protect our investments here...

or are there any other choice?

Opti-Coat is a much better product that actually lasts. The dealer stuff is snake oil. Think about it, PDR for a few dents is $100-200. To make up for the difference you need to be able to get quite a few. Even then I'm not sure if the dealer will hold up to their claim and probably try to hassle their way out, further to that Opti-Coat will protect your paint and keep your car easier to wash for the duration of ownership.

Some people have been saying/joking opticoating the front dash .. I don't smell anything from the coating so I might look into this.
Also I did opti-guarding and yet I still don't smell anything

Some forums I know organize PDR days where hire a PDR guy for the whole day and the guy fixes all the dings for $50/car. They push out 20 cars a day

I'm going w/ opti. The price is right and I love the idea of being able to wash my car with such ease afterwards. Not having to worry about wax is cool.

I got my opticoat put on everything on the exterior, wheel wells, the rims, trim everything. The dealer isnt going to do that for you. Good bye brake dust!

I was just quoted by a local shop for the Xylon treatment: $295. Not sure why the dealership is charging you do much, besides being..a dealership :p

I'm not sure whether I eat to get the Xylon or go with opti-guard at $400
