Feedback to TMS/SOA Management

RULES:

---Please do not start full-on conversation in this thread. Please only post your concern (and link to a thread/photos with the concern if available) without additional commentary. Just a brief caption on what it is.

---If you have the SAME CONCERN, please THANK the person's thread so we can get a count of if it may be an isolated thing or if it's wide-spread.

---I'll post an update after their visit

---Please only post if you own an FR-S/BRZ. Please do not post "well I heard so and so say that..." type of comments. We want to try to keep the thread as pure as possible

---Please keep any discussion on this thread here: www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=339960

WHAT'S GOING ON:

High Level Management from both TMS (Toyota Motor Sales) and Subaru are visiting our dealer for feedback in August (undisclosed date for obvious reasons). They want feedback on the FR-S. I'm sure they will also be visiting a few other dealers and a few Subbie dealers as well- but I always get feedback online before having these meetings.

Their 24 areas of interest include:

-Engine Performance (Feel, noises, etc)

-Exhaust Sound Performance (Sound Quality)

-Transmission (Performance, Quality)

-Suspension (Feel, noise)

-Wind Noise (Areas you hear it, which speed you're at when hearing it)

-Brakes (Noise, Performance, Pedal Feel)

-Steering (Feel, Aligned properly, car exhibit pulling left/right?)

-Highway Performance (Stability, Acceleration, Noise)

-Tire Performance (Wear, Noise, Handling)

-Vehicle Handling (Alignment, Road-Handling, Stability)

-Vibration (Steering Wheel, Pedals, Floor, Seat, etc)

-Interior Parts/Panels (Fitment, gap, deformation, etc)

-Unusual Interior Noise (Squeaking, rattling, etc and location)

-Front Seat Functionality

-Rear Seat Function (... troll question? haha)

-Exterior Parts/Panels (Fitment, Gap, Wheel/Tire Size, Design of Wheels, etc)

-Back Door (Trunk) Function

-Interior Function (Visor, Mirrors, etc)

-HVAC (A/C/Heating System) Performance

-Audio Equipment Performance

-Bluetooth Performance

-Center Cluster Switch usability

-Other Electronic Switch function/usability

-Other Noise/Vibration

-------------------------------------------------------

Again: Please keep your reply to 1 posting per concern. If you see the concern already listed, please "Thank" that person's posting so we can see how rampant that concern may be. Please keep any discussion on this thread here: www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=339960

Tires are entirely ill suited to the car. It's a sports car .. don't put optional Prius tires on a car just to fool us about mileage and economy. This car competes with cars equipped with much better rubber from the factory. Give us the same.

I have a rattle that sounds like its coming from behind the driver side door speaker. I only hear it occasionally though.

FR-S driver here. As per rules in OP, will do one post per concern.

1.) Wish there was tilt/slide memory on the front passenger seat. On the several (though not regular) occasions I've had two others in my car, I've had to pause to lean over and readjust the seat after dropping them off or getting back in the car to go home. Otherwise my peripheral vision is distracted or outright obscured by the seat/headrest.

2.) I drive an AT, and I think it'd be nice to see what gear the car's in w/o having to switch from full-auto to manual mode.

3.) Adjustable height seatbelts would be nice, but the button-strap works well enough.

4.) Very pleased w/ rear-view mirror visibility of rear windshield. Please don't make that window any smaller. The space between the "stilts" holding up the third brake light is actually a nice touch to minimize obscured viewing area.

2. The paint quality is unacceptable for any modern car. It's applied much too thin.

BRZ driver here.

Arm rest is required on this car. At least offer it as an option.

- Transmission (Performance, Quality)

Manual transsmision.

Clutch makes a "jar of marbles" noise during deceleration (engine braking) at low RPM in 1st to 3rd gears. Starts at around 2200 RPM and ends at around 1200 RPM.
