Valet key

How many keys did you get with your BRZ Sport-Tech (Limited)?

I got 2 keys, but no valet key. What about everyone else?

No place for a key where... in the ignition yes. There is physical key access to the trunk and the doors...

Both of your key fob's function as Valet keys, press the trunk disable button in your trunk and your trunk will not open without the physical key. Then remove the physical key from your FOB and hand the FOB to the valet. The valet cannot access anything inside the trunk without the key.

This of course only works in cars with the keyless access system.

You would of course know this...if you read your owners manual.

Only two fobs.

Put your valuables in the trunk and hit the button on the inside left of the trunk. Then remove your physical key from the fob and hand the fob to the valet. The valet will be able to drive the car, but will be unable to open the trunk without the physical key since you hit the button inside the trunk.

Um.. Mine has no keys to place anywhere at all. Nothing on the doors, not sure about the trunk but theres an electronic opener there.

Maybe key for the glove box!

Your drivers door has a keyhole in the handle, your trunk has a keyhole underneath the lip to the right of the trunk button, I'd bet you money... If it doesn't, then you have some magical BRZ that made it off the production line with special parts. Post pics of your drivers door...I'd like to see this if you don't.

Your keyfob has a key that pops out when you press the button on the side.

Hm... I know about the keyfob having a key, but I never noticed a keyhole on my car doors (passenger or driver door)

As far as the trunk, I didnt really pay attention.

I'll take a look later and find out hehe.

Passenger door doesn't have a keyhole, only the drivers side.

There should be a key slot on the driver's door and just to the side of the trunk release button.

If you're just worried about the valet flogging the car, I'm pretty sure John at Visconti has or could whip you up a valet tune to hide in the tune switching feature of the EcuTek flash. The tune-switching aspect, when it's implemented, is really hidden. I'll probably include a valet on mine if/when it's available.

I haven't tried this yet but can you access the seat fold-down from the button in the cabin when the trunk release is turned off? Couldn't the valet just fold down your seats and get at your valuables if he really wanted to?

No, there is no seat release from inside the cabin only from inside the trunk.
