Great size! All the tires are available in that size!

I have not tried these specific tires, but have read good reviews about them as a summer budget tire. I am a fan of Yokohama tires though.

https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...omCompare1=yes

Also read some good reviews on the SUMITOMO HTRZ 5 .

The Hankook v12 evo2 is in that same price range. I am running them. They are very sticky, no complaints there. I wish that the side wall was stiffer. I went from MPSS to them. Anyway, I hope what ever tire you decide on makes you happy.

v12 evo2 is one of the tire I'm looking into as well. I noticed that, Hankook have softer side wall than other brands for some reason, but they're still a great tires.

They are fairly light weight, so there is probably a compromise between weight and side wall stiffness.

I didn't like them as a direct comparison to the Michelins, but now that they are close to done. I haven't had any problems, and like I said, they stick to the road nicely.

I lost $100 today, but...

I had a great talk with one of the locals and regulars at the bar. Oakey is 105 years old. He started running alcohol at 12. He said the biggest weapon they had was the car had a 250 gallon gas tank, so they could always out drive the law. He said his dad and brother built the cars, had a machine shop. 400 gal of shine and 250 gas. Truck springs, built engines. He said if they got in trouble, unless there was a road block, they would get away. So cool

it doesn't. your wife just sets up at the bottom of the staircase with a chair and a bottle of wine to watch you fall and collect the life insurance!

That's EXACTLY why we live in a single level house -

(hmmm.....she does keep waxing the floor under the throw rug in the entry way - )

Of course Mrs Spuds gets hit from behind 10 minutes away from the final walkthrough after driving 2.5 hours through regions to include the Baltimore beltway, and, well, nothing really compares to that one. Welcome to Maryland!

She's fine, the Buick is mostly intact. Gonna need a new tailgate and rear bumper cover, but the dude's insurance should cover it. Heard tires screaming just in time to look in my rearview to see the Buick lurch forward. Thank God my wife had the sense to keep her foot on the brake, or I'd be really pissed (at the other dude, not my wife).

Good news is we now own the new house! Now just moving and selling the old one. Oh and sign a bunch of papers the settlement company forgot about <Facepalm>.

I already met an FRS friend, so that's something good that happened!

Are you looking at stock size? If so Advan [something or other summers], I'll check in the morning, is real cheap in specifically 215/17 on tire rack last I checked. Generally reviewed well, and just the right amount of grip and response for my car at least. Only gripe by me is on-center is a bit dead, but that's probably pressure problems and I was too busy this summer to sort it out.

Edit: I'll check when I get back to PA house tomorrow night...
