I'm sure you'll be able to pick one up used if you really want to. Aftermarket would probably be both better and less expensive.

I like both, very much! The interior is not as garish as that found in the FR-S Release Series 2.0. However, that car had the understated exterior colour that needed a little jazzing up.

For me though, at the Canadian price it should have come with the JDM Performance Pack.

Agreed - for the price, there is really no excuse for not having the brembos and suspension updates.

The exterior color is a little too close to Kelly green; I prefer closer to a traditional BRG. Back around the 2015/16 timeframe, I recall Corollas being offered with a metallic green that was a bit darker...I wish they resurrected that color instead.

They are starting to show up at dealers on the east coast. I found these prices at NADA.
https://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/2020...Manual/Pricing
https://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/2020.../Pricing/Print

Anyone been to dealers that have them in stock and found out what they are selling for? Of course prices will vary with added options, state taxes, and stealership doc fees (average in TN is $600.).

Interestingly, it appears that the MT Hakone is cheaper than the stock GT model (unless this is a typo).

NADA is also showing the MSRPs higher for the 2020 GT Manual then the 2020 GT Auto. Mistake? The auto on the other models is an additional $720.

Whadafaaahh... It's also messed up here in Canada. The Hakone manual is the second least expensive and the Hakone auto is the most expensive.

$1K off MSRP for Hakone.

https://tinyurl.com/yxjww3ey

The problem is that the 2019's are getting $3,500 regional cashback that when combined with dealer discounts available through Costco, AAA, etc., make TRD's available for ~$28K, a tough sell even at that OTD price with typically no dealer doc fees or sales tax in my state.

Take it back to mid-90's Emerald Green Metallic available on Camry and Tacoma pickups, closer to BRG than the kitschy Hakone.

Nor mine! Although the truth is that any shade of green can be British Racing Green if it covers an actual British built race car. The origin of BRG is that when picking colours for 1903 Gordon Bennett Cup held in Ireland the British team had to chose a colour other than red, white or blue as those had already been used by other countries. As a mark of respect, the British cars were painted shamrock green. So it was set that British race cars should be painted green for international race events. Though the shade has changed over the decades the quintessential BRG is a darker hue as shown on this D Jag.
