Is anyone else running one of these in the near future?

I may be purchasing one of these in the near future, but figure I'd ask if anyone else wants to split/share costs.

Check on other threads I believe someone else tried starting another GB but not too many joined. If anything start one yourself. That's what I did

I'm interested because the exchange rate is favorable right now...

Rough estimation of shipping + parts (minus any customs fees... anyone have info on this?) is $233.15 for each set if I buy 4 pcs.

Edit: also, any restrictions on member group buys? not sure if it violates any rules but if it doesn't, I'll arrange it...

Edit 2: 8 sets comes out to ~$215 each via sea freight to Los Angeles.

Edit 3: 12 sets comes out to ~$197 each via sea freight to Los Angeles.

I JUST got my bill from customs. Fees come out to 2.5% of the total value of the shipment PLUS FedEx will charge an "advancement fee of 10% of the customs fees. with my group buy, customs fees came out to about $55 total

Depends on how much you pay for the panels. Japan Parts has to disclose to customs how much you paid for the parts.

Picking it up yourself if you have the free time ain't bad. Pretty much took up my whole day off though, but I hung out around LB with some buddies.

Customs didn't charge me anything in person, but the shipper/middle man charged me some fees.

The exchange rate has gotten better in our favor since I ran this GB.
Just start a thread to gauge interest.

Just to clarify, I didn't get a bill from customs. I got a bill from FedEx for the customs fees.

Those customs fees are what Fedex had to front.

Customs waived it for me since it was a relatively small amount and the guy was chill.
